I felt the game had great potential, it just needed some more mechanics in terms of gameplay. The online is pretty weak, don't even know why it's in the game.
If they made this style of game in to an MMORPG, I think this kind of thing would be more popular that e.v.e ( captain of slow space games ). But comparing action to mmorpg is tough, i just hope to see more action MMORPGs one day.
I've always felt that Freelancer was an underrated game, because to me it's one of the best action based games, and is one of the only games that reminds me of super metroid's exploration.

I'm a video creator chasing hits ( I won't bs you ), and I was just wondering what kind of videos do you think may be of interest to gamers?
I was thinking of doing a video about how 2D games seem to be losing their place, and people see 3D games as sort of replacement, or I was just going to do a bunch of top5s on random game subjects, but I don't know.

Team Fortress 2 provides a much bigger and better community, regular updates, and it's real fun with friends. The style of the game is unique and comparable to no other game. The game has so much to discover, because mastering each class will take quite some time. When you get to the level where you can play any class well, changing classes will keep the game fresh.
