It will still be supported, it just won't be the unchallenged king that the PS2 was. And alot of people don't mind seeing it fall in the face of the 360 and the Wii, because of how arrogant Sony is/was this generation. They thought that all of the PS2 owners would just mindlessly fork over $600 for the PS3 due to the name and it just didn't happen.
But all good things aside,it really had terrible hardware quality only beat by the xbox 360.
So the best console ever is also the second worst hardware wise,I dont think these 2 things should go simultaneously.

It had all of the games, yes. But, it was the biggest piece of junk out of the last gen of consoles. It had the worst hardware last gen, it was much weaker than the original xbox and the gamecube, and it needed the most accessories of the three as well.
I am kinda the same way. The 360 is my favorite console and I find it difficult not to defend it from rabid fanboys. Of course I will defend my PS3 too from rabid fanboys as well, it just seems that the cows attack more.
I disagree. It is fun and creative. My 12 yr old daughter won't put it down and when she finally does, Me and my friend Charles (who was not into video games at all until recently) play it for hours.I tell everyone that it is like Super Mario only cuter. lol
My launch pro RROD'd when it was 14 months old. The warranty at the time was only 1 year so I tore it apart like 4 times trying to fix it. I called microsoft once they increased the warranty to 3 years but the guy told me that they wouldn't fix it because of the warrany sticker being gone. So I bought an elite. Just last month I called microsoft about a controller issue and the lady I talked to asked about my old 360 and I told her that the warranty sticker was gone. she told me to send it in anyway and I just got my console back and now I have 2 of them.
