It's have to have 'em both huh:D Never miss a good exclusive. And by the way, you will get used to the sticks on the 360 controller. It took me a bit but, now it is my favorite controller.

[QUOTE="T-Aldous"]My biggest complaint about the DS3 is the fact that the top of the sticks are rounded in a convex shape. I am constantly resituating my thumbs because they slip off of the sticks. The sticks on the 360 are concave to cradle your thumbs, much better design. The L2 and R2 triggers are stupid in design but, since most games use the R1 and L1 for the triggers its not that big of a deal. The D-pad on the DS3 is great but I don't use it as much. Stumpt25
If your fingers slip off either then analogue or l/r2 buttons.... stop eating potato chips and wash your hands

Maybe I am just used to the Intelligent design of the 360's analog sticks rather that the stupid design of the DS3. My fingers don't slip off of the R2/L2 buttons just the analog sticks. Anyway, its just an opinion.

I will get that controller. I do not like the DS3 much at all. That is another deciding factor in me getting all multiplats for the 360 over the PS3, maybe this controller will change my mind.

I believe that it is a term called "Cowspin". Its only cheaper if it is a sales argument. Its more expensive if its a price argument. That way they can win at something:D

The price, the arrogance of Sony, the forced adoption of Blu-ray resulting in the outrageous price, the fact that it is no better than the cheaper 360, and when they finally did lower the price, they took out all of the good stuff (the BC, the card readers) that the PS3 had are the reasons that most people that I know skipped the system. Of all of my PS2 only friends, I am the only one who got a PS3, and I only bought it because I found a used 60 gig for $300. Don't get me wrong, I really like my PS3, but that is why a lot of people skipped it.

[QUOTE="T-Aldous"]Blu-ray was a mistake. If it wasn't for that, the PS3 would have launched at the same time as the 360 for about the same price and would have smoked the 360 in sales. I know of 4 PS2 fans that got the 360 just because they refused to buy a disc format that might have not survived and now that it won, they still don't want one because now they took out the BC to keep BD and lower the price.Nocturnal_Speed

Well there you have it....you friends should be happy now since they own a Ps2 "last gen" system and now that Sony has lowered the price for all those peeps that whine about the price. The should be in good shape :P im I right??

You are missing the point. They bought the 360 instead because of the BD jacking up the price.

I bought a PS3 back in October after my third 360 got the RROD, but I'm beginning to wonder whether I made the right decision...

The more stuff I play, and the more I generally read about the PS3, a lot of things are starting to frustrate me:

1. The lack of 1080p support on many games, even when 360 versions have it - I thought the PS3 was technically superior?

2. PSN - do they ever release anything decent over it? The only good thing so far seems to have been GTi Club.

3. The general online experience - I know its free, but I'd rather not wait half an hour to download a 20Mb update. £40 for Live is a bargain by comparison.

4. Having to install some games to the hard drive - its a console, not a PC. I'll chose what I store thanks.

5. Home - what a complete load of crap, mostly middle-age men masquerading as teenage girls...

6. Shoddy build quality of the controllers - I've got the Dualshock 3s, and one has broken already.

7. LittleBigPlanet - it really isn't all that, nor are there any truly decent exclusives on the horizon.

8. No DLC on big games - why aren't Sony getting in on the act? I can take or leave the GTA stuff, but no Fallout 3 DLC is a crime.

I could probably go on. Ok, the Blu-Ray capability is a bonus, but you can buy a standalone player for less than £200 these days, meaning you're not exactly saving money there either.

It seems to me that it all adds up to there actually being not a lot to really commend the PS3 at present, particularly since the NXE revamp a little while ago.

Might see about putting the PS3 in the classifieds and returning back to the 360...

I pretty much agree with everything you said except the part about Little Big Planet. I love that game.
