Most PS3 games are rendered in 720p. So, if VF5 is being sent to your HDTV as 720p, it is because that is what the game is. The only way the PS3 could send 1080i to your HDTV is if it was rendered in 1080p.b11051973

yeah me either, but it is a little aggravating. i like the ps3 but i dont know how long i can take this. by the way my tv does support 720p rare for a crt i know but it just 1080i better.willpark73
1080i is not better when the game is rendered in 720p, that's a fact which can't be argues unless your TV is the same size as those at New York Times Square. But if you want to be silly then go into your PS3 screen settings and set it to only support 1080i (if you got both 720p and 1080i marked then obviously VF5 will chose its native resolution 720p because of the better image quality).
:? What's wrong with people, some neat pictures are shown and imediatly everyone has to use them for console bashing. Can't we just forget about the console wr and only focus on Lair in this thread? Anyway, the watter must be the most realistic looking I have seen in a game and I'm really glad to see a close-up of the main character model, it's truly as detailed as in the trailers but the game got too many light blooms for my taste and animations plus dragon vs dragon battles needed a lot of tweaking from what we saw in the TGS '06 demo. And I really love the setting, it's a really cold god forsaken world, there's no good or evil but just evil and more evil, BTW, is it just me or shouldn't the creature coming up of the sea have been more shiny? It's about the only thing not having light blooms yet it's wet (unless it never takes its head down below the water). NB: Sorry about typos and spelling.

Name it and MGS got it, Motion blur, out of focus blur, depth blur... MGS4 got it all, but it's done very subtle and often when some silly goof yelllow res texture it's because there's a blur.
:? Most games below 60fps use motion blur, they just usually do it more tastful instead of exageration. I bet you prefer you bump-mapping shiny, lighting with tons of blooms and screaming colours. :P
Well I just dont understand 1 thing why do you care about the exclusivity just be happy game would be out enjoy it and therefore if it's on all platforms it can really show the difference between the console power.
