Well you can get sub-dermal armour. So i guess that'd shield him.

Honestly I think that if a game is going to have multiplayer, do nothing but the multiplayer. Same with singleplayer. Making both only dilutes what was supposed to be the focus of the game.

Imagine: Awesome games that managed to use their complete budget on what the game is supposed to be about, instead of wasting it on an unnecessary multiplayer/singleplayer mode.

But why does Big Boss suddenly look like Ron Perlmen...?

How is this a problem? Ron Perlman is awesome!

Anyway this wouldn't be the first time they've changed who the characters are based on. I mean Snake's Codec portrait in MGS1 (or was it one fo the Metal Gears?) is based off of Christopher Walken. Didn't really carry over into MGS2.

EA owns it. So more than likely if it ever does see the light of day it'll have a new emphasis on combat and an unnecessary multiplayer mode.

It's because most gamers have proven time and time again that they are perfectly willing to get shafted by the publishers as long as they get their precious game on release day.

Van Buren. I mean it was good some ideas were recycled into Fallout New Vegas, but it's just not the same.

I can't recall there being any apparel that has stat-boosts attached to them in Team Fortress. Valve's pretty good at keeping the "pay to win" model at bay.

Hmmm well some item sets have hats that are needed for the set bonus. The bonuses are usually very minor, and unless you're playing f2p you can still get the hat without paying for it... after weeks of collecting scrap.

Hmmm it's unusual nowadays for a dev to add something like this to a game so long after release. Doubly so for a downloadable game.

Not really. I dont pirate games, but for other things it's usually:

Something Good:

  • Pirated: "This is good."
  • Payed: "This is good."

Something Bad:

  • Pirated: "Meh"
  • Payed: "Why the hell did I waste my money on this piece of crap?!"

  • Less focus on multiplayer.
  • No online passes, or used game blocking.
  • At least one console to have no motion controls, or crappy tablets.
