[QUOTE="death1505921"]Remember oblivion anyone. Glitchs galore. But a legendary game none the less.Warp_2567
that's what the PC version was like when it was first released. The patches made the game much better. 360 didn't have as much problems but still had alot of tedious load times. PS3 version was much better, but after the patches, PC version triumphs.

thats great buddy but the issue is that reviewers do this ALL THE TIME, they will say it stutters/glitches multiple times and still give it a very very high score, hell look at the Gamespot Oblivion review yourself if you dont believe me.

lol, anyone can pick apart parts of a review and copy and paste the bad parts only to make the game look bad, here let me prove it to you by doing that with the oblivion review on ign.

Unfortunately, the graphics aren't without their faults. Though you can see extremely far into the distance, far off hills will be blanketed in low-resolution textures that otherwise mar a beautiful scene. Loading times may also be a bother. Not the loading times when entering doors or fast traveling around the world, those are entirely manageable. It's the loading that occurs when traveling across the land that will cause the Xbox 360 version to stutter, as well as any mid to lower end PC. The game needs to load in grass and environmental objects at regular intervals, and the ensuing pause in the action may turn some off. There's also a very visible amount of pop-in, as grass, rocks and even houses appear at the edges of your vision.

WHAT? THIS CRAP GOT A 9.3!!! THEY GOT PAID OFF!!!!

/sarcasm.

Pretty much have the same opinion as i did when it was a ps3 exclusive, the game looks really bland. Only reason i would even consider renting it at the very most is if it comes out in may/june when nothing else is out.

Mass effect is an RPG it might be more action oriented but if you play as the adept class, go to GT and look at the Adapt gameplay half the time he is casting "spells".

as far as non shooters, there are plenty to choose from, try on xbox live for demos of these games:

viva pinata

kameo

Ace combat six

viva pinata party animals

naruto rise of ninja(is there a demo out for this?)

crash of the titans

blue dragon

eternal sonata

go and try them out if your bored with shooters the 360 has a lot of variety you just have to look.

so if the ps3 has so much "variety" where are non-shooter games like eye of judgement, ratchet and clank, heavenly sword(10 last month), lair, folklore etc.. not on the top ten sales charts?

the truth is the ps3 is just like the 360 in terms of non-shooters, if you look at games like eternal sonata, blue dragon, AC6 they all dint make the top ten either

so please stop with the hole "360 only buy shooters" and lets change it to "America only buys shooters"

edit: sorry let me make myself a little clearer, the perception is that the ps3 has more variety, and that people who own a ps3 buy games that are non-shooters.

if that perception is true shouldn't games like folklore, ratchet and clank, eye of the judgement be near the top of the list when they come out?

they aren't, and comments like "exclusive non shooter games to 360 will come to the ps3 because ps3 owners like non-shooters" are false IMO.

Just trying to point out a misconception

now of course i am not saying that either of the systems don't have variety i am just saying that neither of the systems show that variety in sales.

i would be highly suprized if ff13 made it out next year.. just seems unlikely that Square has that much resources to make Last Remnant publish infinite undiscovery AND finish ff13 in one year(and put all those games out with in 4-5 months of each other?) just seems kinda hard.

funny how not even one ps3 game i mean come on... cant even sell 117k for ratchet and clank? i know it just came out but still it seems like such a high profile game not to get 120k+ sales in its first week.

This is why I am not getting a 360. Oh I would like to have one, but I am not willing to risk it. This is the only thing keeping me from getting one. I usually get two consoles a gen, but I think I may be stuck just getting a PS3.l-_-l

that seems a bit extreme, its not like you have to buy a new 360, it takes about two weeks for them to send you box, then you send them the 360 and they send it back to you. in those two weeks you could probably play your ps3 and then get back to playing Mass Effect when your 360 gets back.

and if it happens again your still covered for three years for this to be the ONLY reason as you say for you not getting a 360 just seems kinda strange to me at least.

You shold take a look at my gamertag. I'm talking long term. Don't know much about the gaming bussiness, but it's possible for a development team to get a new publisher, am I right?

majadamus

well yeah, but name one game that actually done that pretty recently, the last game i heard about was the Dungeon Siege devs who were published by Microsoft game studios and then went to take-two that happened.. what four years ago?

it almost never happens and in Mistwalkers(devs of Lost Odyssey and blue dragon) case it will probably never happen, people are under the assumption Mistwalker actually makes the games, they dont they have about 15-30 permanent employees who are the brainson the operation, when you load up blue dragon it says "produced by Mistwalker" "Made by Microsoft Game Studios", hell you cant even find Mistwalker's name on thefront of blue dragonyou have to look for it on the back, thats pretty clear indication its directlyowned by Microsoft why would they port to another rival system?

[QUOTE="BreakingPoint8"]I don't even know where to start, you said the Xbox 360 has the worst variety. But there is Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata that's two more JRPGs then the Playstation 3 has.Mass Effect is coming out in 6 days, the Playstation 3 has nothing to counter a Western RPG, Kingdom Under Fire Circle of Doom, Fable 2 and Too Human just some of the Wester RPGS coming out next year. Mean while the Xbox 360 has Lost Odyssey coming in February, followed by Infinite Undiscovery and Cry On.

Star Ocean 4 doesn't have a platform announced by the way.

Blue Dragon was critized for cookie cutter characters and a story that didn't pick up until the 3rd disk. Lost Odyssey has alot more people involved and guess what, it's story doesn't suck and it's main characters aren't children. Despite it's criticism it still averaged 78 on Metacritic, I fail to see how that's trash. Eternal Sonata is only available on the Xbox 360 this year, but if all you're counting is future games and basing everything on opinion than there's no point in debating.

How can a console have better variety when it doesn't even have any Western RPGs? Atleast the Xbox 360 has JRPGs and Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery coming next year, and yes they will be great games.

majadamus

The PS3 has a WRPG, although a multiplat, Oblivion. Eternal Sonata is coming to the PS3 like I said. Keeping a JRPG exclusive for the 360 just seem like madness to me. Lemmings don't care for them, even if they seem like good games. Do you see any hype for Infinte Discovery or Cry On? Exclusive JRPGs will not last very long on an American oriented console.

um... when they are being published directly by Microsoft like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery are its kinda impossible for them to go to another console

and even if they dont sell well, so what? you want to pretend like they dont exist?
