turnbased, 50-60 hours, good story but very cliche.

personally getting both basically do you like turnbased jrpgs or more real time jrpgs?

Good, neither did cod2 kinda glad it makes the achievements a little less daunting( ex: if they made an achievement like getting to level 50 or something which would take what, 3 months of constant play?) plus singleplayer>>>multiplayer imo.

The only thing i wish they included is co-op still going to get it but it would have been icing on the cake.

I don't even own a PS3. Even if I got the 360 version, I'd have to wait to buy it anyway, because I'm spending all my money on my more anticipated games like Super Mario Galaxy and Phoenix Wright 3.

Also, the PS3 version will have extra events and characters, right? That's always a plus. :P

cant we just like both and both can exist simultaneously? i mean i for one really really enjoy blue dragon and i like its old-school feel and when i get eternal sonata i am sure i will like how it has a different take. The term "in the right direction" seems a bit harsh to lost odyssey, dragon quest, and the many more turn based jrpgs coming out.

If you like turnbased thats great if you like eternal sonata more real time thats fine too no need to bash those games its not like those games arent good.

while true the real question is GT5 an actual system seller? because it came out when the ps2 had a very very large install base so its kinda hard to tell how many actually bought a ps2 to play it, it might have just been the huge install base of the ps2 making it sell well. We are going to have to wait and see.
