Was going to purchase this the day it was released. But after watching the video review and the game play footage I'm glad I didn't. I was planning to fill my RPG craving with Blue Dragon but guess now I gotta wait for Lost Odyssey, which I'm hyped up about, even more than Halo 3.chips-ahoy

just to let you know dont expect a better review infact i have already accepted the 4.0 rating GS is going to write an entire page about how it has random battles and how its old-school. My advise don't listen to this site's or any western media site for jrpgs.

Blue dragon is severally underrated and imo this game is not amazing but it certainly not deserving of a 6.0, i mean if two worlds with all its glitches can get a 7.0 this is a double standard imo.

I agree, this review focused way too much on the negative. I mean if the game was unplayble, glitchy maybe a 6.0 is deserved but this game is very playable(and for people who have finished the first disk wasn't the ending of that disk just really cool?). I will agree the story/characters are generic but its not that bad to deduct 2+points.

Also there is seeming to be a double standard here what exactly makes Two Worlds deserving of a 7.0? it has some serious flaws to and IMo they are much more serious than blue dragon's.

I hope reviewers on this site will review the game as it is not for how they want it to be.

I'm buying it. :D Blue Dragon is amazing and they pooped all over that too. The music, cel shaded visuals, and environments are just gorgeous in Eternal Sonata. To hell with reviewers.;)BioShockOwnz

Amen, if western media sites dont like japan games just because they dont appeal to them they should stop reviewing them all together. I am only going to listen to Japanese reviews of these types of games because they usually like the gener.

people who like the gener just need to look at japan websites who rate the games based on their love of the gener. They should stop expecting western sites like Ign, Gamespot to rate them highly. Its the same with shooters in japan they arent well liked.

exactly western media sites(major ones like gamespot, IGN) will NEVER rate an old-school jrpg high. This game is the epitome of old-school, it has random battles, turn based. This game would be lucky to get a 7.0

gamespot,ign are going to hate this game.

still i am a big fan of the gener and i am loving blue dragon so this is one of my anticipated but dont hype it unrealistically.
