maybe they realized part way through that the game would suck and so they rushed the development to get it over with and minimize the damage. Result is an even worse gameGunSmith1_basic
yeah or maybe they just dont like the fantasy gener in general but were in to deep to stop.
eternal sonata sounds really really cool because its soo different than all the other games you listed, but i guess you would have to have liked the demo as much as i did to think that way about the game.
I wouldn't say that the goal of Lost Odyssey was to crush Final Fantasy, but rather dish out a great JRPG on the Xbox 360. Now, this goal isn't terribly hard to achieve, but with the recent deal with Blue Dragon(haven't played it myself, but that review was prettynegative), I think we've been given disappointment, rather than just absence in that field.JLuke360
see its matter of perceptive. I wanted a jrpg and i have been waiting on one for a while for the 360, so i am completely satisfied with blue dragon right now. Its not like the game is unplayable or something its a nice solid jrpg. I will agree its not different but i mean personally i wasn't disappointed.
American websites will hate this game for one reason only, Random Encounters. I really do think the fact it has random encounters will make it ever score anything higher than a 8.0 here or ign. Meanwhile japanesse game reviewers will say its great. Personally i am enjoying blue dragon and looking forward to lost odyssey.
um.. i dont know why most people dont know this but mistwalker isn't really a dev studio(i think it has 15 permanent employees), even in blue dragon it doesn't say made by Mistwalker it says produced by mistwalker(in fact, mistwalker is not even on the front of the game, you have to look for them on the back of the game). They are basically the brains behind the games, artoon and Microsoft game studios basically handle all the actual programing and stuff.
Besides i really dont think mistwalker cares, they were hired by microsoft to do one thing, make japan games to sell 360's blue dragon sold 200k copies in japan which is like 60% of the xbox players their so thats pretty impressive for their first game Lost Odyssey might help more.
