I think it looks great, I really do. Reminds me of streets of rage combined with Spartacus. The multiplayer is a bit hit and miss but if this game is successful, I hope it to become a franchise that impresses over time.
If it sells enough expect ryse 2 to hit new levels.
The ps camera might be able to do them but nowhere near as effectively, remember MS have given kinect 2 it's own processor this time.
On a side note does anyone know whether kinect does 1:1 tracking with the XBO controller? Should be able to, what with the infrared light to follow. It won't have to do any predictive algorithms for body movement, just track the red dot.
Well I think kinect is impressive and useful this time round. There have already been some implementations of it that have caught my eye.
Project spark : being able to use your body to capture animations for your game.
Kinect rivals : full body scanning, hopefully this tech will be used I more games.
XBO controller : kinect being able to track the controller via its infrared light.
It's exciting stuff and being used in a much better way that the original kinect. Because thes face it, the original kinect is pretty much what the ps camera is now.
Well that's the way it is at the moment, I personally do not see kinect as a gimmick this time round, it's too impressive. The camera you are right though, it literally is a camera with some mics crammed in it.
I've said it once and ill say it again. I am not a fan of having to buy modules to get what I should of got out of the box. I applaud MS approach, my opinion ofc.
