When your system has no good games and one comes out. Wouldn't you buy it? Me too.Nova_Mongoose
the ultimate in damage control
(if your a lemming, if not then sorry :D)
bring on the asian girls for me! Asian girls, you can't get any finer!!! Especially Japanese and Korean,
hhmm tasty
I also agree with the hella cosplay.
hmm, maybe i should go this year, my ex girlfriend had to move back to Tokyo to go to University so maybe i should give it a shot
maybe i should get her to dress up in very little clothing or cosplay for me.
Defo for me though, tokyo game show is about the girls more than the games !!! When is it by the way?
Graphics and presentation:
Usually vastly improved over the previous installment and act as a showcase for the systems power when released, usually 1 of the top 3 games for graphics without a doubt. Something for you lemmings to love since you care so much about graphics.
Story:
Stories are more interesting, emotioanl, well thought out and epic than any other RPG. With the great character development and driven storylines, plotwise, Final Fantasy dominates.
Gameplay:
For a while, it used to simply be turn based but whets talk about the last 3 FF games and terms of their gameplay changes.
FFX:
Sphere grid was simply, a great way of changing the way you improved your characters abilities and stats in a UNIQUE way something you often claim that FF doesn't do. On top of for the first time in the FF series being able to see your summon and have it as a fighting character for you, on top of the ability to switch them in and out of battle.
FFX - 2: agreed not a fantastic ame, but still the ATB system was nicely implemented but lacking the power of the first, but again proves against your point of dull, repetitive battle mechanics with each game release.
FFXII - Sorry, if your saying that FF doesn't come up with unique ways and never changes there core systems, then you are obviously blind. Gambit system for the non turn based, real time multiple fighting is simply great. It works fantastically well and has taken the FF series in a whole new direction. Now having the ability to work together with planned AI strategy, changeable quite easily for varying enemies. The licesnse grid is a fresh addition, being able to icnrease your proficency based on how high a level you are in that proficency to see what you can equip and use.
Whole fact the battle system is in real time and non turn based also again proves that FF do change there systems with every game, something you claim they never do.
These are all the reasons why it does so well as it does, epic stories, great presentation and an always changing combat system with each game. There is no way you can call the FF series in recent years, something that doesn't change the way it works and pump out games "derivatively"

"The most best enemyor enemies ever"
That there is the most evil thing period. That alone has hurt my eyes ever in the history of computing. Forgot any boss or enemy, that sentece = instant death.
lol i love the fact on how Kotaku forgot to include something in that article.
the fact that DOA 4 sold 60,000 in a week while VF5 sold 30,000 in a day so you have to wait for a weekly sale comparison till you can say it flopped worse than DOA 4 (those kinda sales it flopped)
now i just gotta remember that thread where it was the lemming who posted the article stating that.
[QUOTE="Spag1091"][QUOTE="musicalmac"][QUOTE="Spag1091"][QUOTE="musicalmac"][QUOTE="Spag1091"]I don't believe u. I have a hard time believing it's that seamless. I mean, if I want a multimedia machine with a kayboard and mouse, I'll use my iMac. I don't want to use a keyboard and mouse on my console. Can you download a demo, play a game, and listen to streamed music at the same time on a PS3? I give you valid facts coming from someone who owns and uses a PS3 daily and you dismiss them because you don't believe me.....Find someone who has it and use it for yourself before making retarded accusations. And obviously when you want a multimedia machine you would use a Mac before anything else, but i thought the TC was looking for the most efficient multimedia available via a console. I'm sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean to. I just see some inconsistant facts in this thread. Some say you can't make playlists on a PS3, but you claim you can. I don't see how the PS3, based on what you say, is the obvious winner in the multimedia equipt console battle. What kind of streaming from the internet are you talking about? I'm talking about the massive amount of media available using the Browser on the ps3. All the websites you can access that have high quality streaming video for free, based out of other countries to avoid any legal issues and whatnot. The fact that there is just that one web browser available to you using the PS3 opens up a plethera of multimedia options. (I'm only discussing the browser here, not stating it as if it's all the PS3 offers, refer to my previous posts for that info.) But this kind of thing is readily available on a computer. WHY IS THIS SPECIAL ON A CONSOLE?I can stream any movie/anime/tv-show I want from a number of different sites on my PS3, download demos, watch porn, play Blu-Ray discs, add/subtract people onto/from my friends list, play CDs, make my own mixes of songs, share photos, connect a bluetooth or usb keyboard and mouse for ease of multimedia use, etc. All at no extra cost to me.
I think the fact that streaming movies/anime/tv-shows/porn exist on websites and you can access these using the PS3's browser pretty much sums up why it beats the competition. IPTV can bow down to what already exists on the web.
musicalmac
the fact its the first time its been properly done on a console?
