AMG! Where are the games?!

Just as it says! Where are the games?! There is absolutely nothing new apart from Devil May Cry 4 which I own. I hate it because during October-December time the shelves are saturated with new releases, many of which turn out to be mediocre or worse. But then everything just grinds to a halt til' April. I guess there's The Club which looks intrigueing but it certainly doesn't make me lick my lips and scream 'Yee-Haw!'. I guess I'll have to stick with Matchmaking in Halo 3 til' Halo Wars comes out.

I'm shaking at the thought of play Star Wars : The Force Unleashed, it looks as good as the classic Jedi Knight:Jedi Academy (which I'm still trying to find some online games for on the PC). And Fable 2 also, that's coming out around the same time so I'll save for them both then flip a coin on what I'm gonna play first. I'm currently re-playing the campaign on Fable:The Lost Chapters, it just never gets old.

Anyway, I'm gonna go write a Halo 3 and Jedi Academy review, Later.

The Devil Will Cry that he can't play this game!

Yeah, I got Devil May Cry 4 for the Xbox last night purely on the off chance. My dad just said that if you pick a game in the next 20 seconds you can have it. Since I was in Zavvi the selection was mediocre so all the games I either owned or knew they were awful, with only 3 seconds to go it was between Devil May Cry 4, The Club and Forza 2. I have to say, in the future I'll probably buy the other two but I don't regret my choice at all. It's the best platform beat 'em up I've ever played!

Not owning a PS2 I never played the other 3 Devil May Cry games so I'm struggling to follow the story, all I know is that you play as Nero and you gotta follow some dude called Dante from the previous games.

Overall I'm really enjoying this game considering I had such low hopes for this game. And I might invest in a PS2 purely to get the previous 3 games, and God Of War....

Anyway, I think I'll go write a review or two, Later.

Gamers are fashionable!

I've noticed that a lot of characters in games must spend 3 hours or so in front of a mirror choosing their outfit. Which is why i've made a short-ish list of the most stylish characters in games old and new (more new than old).

Altair - Assassin's Creed

There's something that makes Altair look slim and stylish in his white robes. The fingerless gloves are a nice edition as well!

Captain MacMillan - Call Of Duty 4

I don't know but that Ghillie suit makes MacMillan look cool, maybe it's the circular head or the leaves?

Marca Ragnos - Jedi Knight : Jedi Academy

Any Sith lord that sports the 'ripped cloth and chains' look is bound to make this list.

Any Dremora - Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion

The Demonic Armor look is a dead cert for a fashion list.

Master Chief - Halo:Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3

This would not be a fashion list without Master Chief, period.

Your Agent - Crackdown

No matter which face you pick, by the time you get 4 stars strength level, you look cool.

Slash - Guitar Hero III:Legends Of Rock

Slash is the coolest dude EVER. He's in a game, 'nuff said.

Gordon Freeman - Half Life, Half Life 2, The Orange Box

His suit is just the pinnacle of style.

Bowser - First appeared in Super Mario 64, i think.

His spiky shell could make a geek look cool.

Yoshimitsu - Tekken series

At the point when he pulls out his laser sword, he is the daddy of style.

Thief (I don't know his name) - Thief, Thief II

The hooded look just fitted him perfectly....

Delta 07 - Star Wars:Republic Commando

All of the Deltas looked mint, but 07 had the best personality.

That Red Toa - Some Crappy Bionicle Game.

He's the best looking Lego dude ever, shame the games sucked...

Lara Croft - Tomb Raider Series

She had geeks everywhere doing their own washing for months....

Any Mii Character - Mii Channel

They look soooo odd but sooo cool.

Well thats it, I know i left some out. Maybe I'll do a fashion disaster some other time.

Nuke The Noobs.

Before I begin i shall start by saying thatI'm not aginst people of inferior skill playing online games, everyone starts as a 'newb'. So here it is, people who play online such as CoD4 or Team Fortress 2 or even ShadowRun. They sit there, shoot in random directions then cry when they get killed, it's the usual 'This game is broken, your all noobs!' or 'How did they kill me, I shot that guy first!' I am genuinely pissed off with this. Just the other day on ShadowRun there was this guy saying 'Someone kill me, rez me, kill yourself so I can get the Zombie Achievment, please?' when i told him no, and everyone else said no, he then proceeded to kill himself, me and some other poor gamer with a grenade. Granted, it takes skill to kill 2 teammates + yourself with one grenade but come on, that was so unnessessary, people would'nt bow to his wishes so he threw his toys out of the pram and killed us. Also on CoD4 there was some guy who got killed every 30 seconds, he then just stood still and insulted everyone's gamertag's.

For the record, my team lost both matches..

I pledge my aliegance.....

I recently read in Gamesradar that my favourite person in gaming (apart from Jade Raymond) Jeff Gerstmann was fired for not kissing kissing up to Kane&Lynch: Dead Men, which, quite frankly, sucks! I thought we lost this kind of behaviour at the end of the Soviet Crisis and The Cold War. I mean come on, this guy just oozes knowledge, comedy and gaming coolness, so why was he fired for hating a crap game? This is a call for every gamer who like(d) Jeff and hates industry propaganda and scandal to apologise to him on behalf of the Gamespot community, because the beurocratic c*nts in head office obviously don't care...

ReRouter the problem?

So, I'm on Xbox Live with my laptop beside me. And the thing is that my router seems to be crap. Everytime I'm on both one or the other seems to lag horribly. I know I'm just ranting here but i gotta vent my fury somehow. Oh look, i've been disconected from Live, yet again......

Live Lag?

Okay, so got Xbox Live and The Orange Box for christmas amongst other games. So i sit down to play a game of Team Fortress 2, you know, the one that looks lke a pixar film and is the 'most anticipated multiplayer game of the year'. Lowkey then....

Anyway, as I'm playing I start to lag a little, well, a lot. I put this down to network issues and my connection. But when i ask my friend (who is on 8mb internet connection) i discover that he lags as much as i do So i figured out that Valve (Or Live) hasn't been generous with the server for Team Fortress 2, and i think since it's supposedly the best multiplayer since the Internet was invented (I personally, think it's nothing special) that Valve (or Live) should at least TRY and fix the lag.

Loading Screens....

Am I the only one sick of games bragging about the fact they have no loading screen?

It's not so much an issue, but all it does is exchange the screen that 'Loading' in the corner for a pure white/black/purple/red background that lasts the same amount of time...

I prfer the games that give you a little tip or snippet.

Bring 'em back!
