Hmmmm. I find this hard to believe especially given the obvious amount of effort invested in the game. How could they not plan on it being a huge success and justify creating a huge game?

Yeah, the BioShock games are definitely at the top of my FPS/action games list. I'd also put up Thief 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution up there if you think of the "S" as sneaker instead of shooter ;-).

I'd also recommend Alice: Madness Returns which I thought was a fantastic game that got very little attention.

@roid--rage: Yeah, I was exceptionally disappointed with HL2. I spent the whole game waiting for the monologue that would explain what on earth was going on and what happened at the end of HL1. I also thought it was too short. The graphics and gameplay mechanics were definitely amazing though. I don't think it deserves to be on any "best of singular player campaign" lists though.

Because we thought that maybe if we have two half-good characters, we'll end up with one good character for a change.
