YOU SHOULD GET A 360!!!
Is anyone else dissapointed in the 14 gig hard drive? When i got my 360 i went through the system memory part of the dashboard and said there was 13.7 gigs remaining. I heard from someone that its 107 on the elite.Treyzerr
if you download alot of demos videos and arcade stuff, then you probably want the 120, but if you just play games and download demos before you buy the game then you'll be fine for quite a while, i only have 7.5 left on mine but i have about 6 demos saved on it.
Microsoft may be on the verge of making a colossal change in their Xbox 360 business, if the site XboxFamily can be believed.
Apparently, the site learned that Microsoft plans to begin releasing games that require the hard drive in order to play. This comes hot on the heels of the company dropping the Core SKU from its lineup, so it actually sounds very possible that this is a legitimate maneuver. The titles that require the drive will say "HDD Required" on the front of the box, and the info will also be seen on the back in the "extended detail" section.
We have no idea how widespread these games will be - will really huge titles require the use of the HD? - nor do we know exactly when we'll start seeing them. But it's an interesting scenario for Microsoft, and with the absence of the Core 360, it may not be a major stumbling block for most owners of their next-gen system. We'll definitely keep an eye out for those "HDD Required" logos, though.

wow, could microsoft be more of money goblers? for the people that like the core, and me myself think that if your moneystuck that you deserve to get a core and still be able to play games, but come on microsoft, stop making people buy your **** just to play games. HD is already required to play xbox games, now its required to play 360 games?!?! so the people that buy the core and want to play a game are pretty much screwed? thats sinking pretty low.
everytime i get in a game to play gears of war, there's always someone who's either an **** or someone who pisses and moans about everything. you know, the type of guys who just can't accept a good kill or good headshot, always have a reason why they died, no matter how absurd it sounds, the type of guys who say oh thats bullsh*t, i shot u 17 times in the face with an active reload, yea those type of people. im sick of it, it makes me not want to play it, and i encounter these types of people on live constantly, its always the big name games(halo, gears,) that annoying people like this join, and ruin it for other people, why cant there be more games with people that friendly, who accept kills, aren't childish , and don't **** about everything, well nothings perfect i guess, and its probably going to get worse on halo 3, stupid 12 year olds who think there awesome. once in gears i talked to some guy who was like, "i just got live to piss people off." those type of people suck. is anyone else sick of the live community overall?
p.s. if i sound crazy, tell me.
PandaSlayer
no your not crazy, i deff. agree with you. the only thing i would say on life in a negative i guess you could say is someone who has host and thinks they are so good even though they are host.
So i wanna get a 360 and right now andi could get a core console or i could borrow some money and get a pro console.
If i get the core console it will come with 64mb memory card. So my question is, will 64mb be enough or should i borrow money for the pro console?
DNF
i would say the question is if you want HDMI, if you dont want HDMI/dont care about having it, then i would say get the core console, 64 megs will cover you for a while, but if your a hardcore gamer and get a new game every week or 2 then it will be full in a couple months, and if you want to download a demo then your screwed, but i would say get a core, and get a 120 gig hard drive because i have a pro, and i have all my stuff on there and only have about 8 gigs of free space, i am considering getting a bigger hard drive. so if you dont care about HDMI, get the core and get the 180 gig HD.
I'm sorry to hear about your issue. I got an intercooler for Chirstmas last year, and I debated whether to use it or not. I checked the forums and read that indeed some people had problems with it. Unfortunately, I was pretty much forced to use it because my system would turn off constantly because of overheating. I would use it for long periods of time, so I decided to use it and I haven't had any problems with it since, although there will be times when I turn on the system, the fan makes a really loud noise and the system would give me an error message. I turn it off yhough and the problem is solved.jep78
ok, i know that peoples systems overheat, but how? i've had mine for 6+ months and i've never had mine overheat. unless you have it in an enclosed space or an enclosed cabinet then theres no point in getting a fan, even when i had mine in an entertainment center it never overheated, and it was sitting on top of the satlite box, so theres really no need in getting one.
i want to warn all of you not to use a intercooler on your 360. i was using a nyko intercooler and my power cord malfunction and basicaly burnt the intercooler and reuined the power cord. i called up microsoft and they said the intercooler voided my warentee. i am now going to have to go to a friends house and pray that the damage was only the power cord and that i'll have to only have to pay 80 dollars for a new cord... now my question for you is lets say the power cord is the problem and i geta new one. what doI do tokeep my 360 from constantly overheating? ino that if i do nothing it will just eventually die again butan intercooler will void my warentee.
soxfan2614
what about the other cooler(not sure about the name) but my friend has one, its made so the 360 sits vertically and then uses the USB spot on the back as its power instead of the power cord, and doesnt lock in at all, the 360 basically sits on the stand, not in a bad way though, its not like its going to fall over, its stable, i would recomend it, i think its 15 bucks? and if you say "what about the usb port?" well its a USB cord with a passthrough.
I haven't so far but i just got my ps3 this month. I will take advantage of the 5 free movies. and i plan to start buying some bluray movies adter that. RedMarzBoy
i think maybe that if there was a huge graphics boost in movies, or some action movies where the explosions are just that much better that i would consider buying blue-ray movies, but unless theres not much better, it just looks a tiny bit better...then theres no point in paying the extra 10 bucks per movie...btw when you say five free movies does that mean when you buy the ps3 you just get to pick 5 movies out?
Stop making dumb posts like "why do you guys like it so much" "what's the bid deal" "Halo 3 is overhyped" who cares, don't play it then and buy something else. noone is holding a gun to your headgrock900
yeah, and your just boosting the hype by adding negativity, if you dont have anything good to say dont say it at all, halo 3 isnt overhyped, its just one of the best games for xbox, thats what the hype is about. and since this is going to be THE GAME for a while.
