I was actually thinking something along those lines a few days ago, about how Bioware is making great games, but if the innundate the market they run the risk of flirting with that dangerous edge of creativity versus the cash cow.

If they can keep up the high quality storylines though, I say let us gamers ride that wave until it breaks!

;)

As for being overwhelmed with new releases though... *Cough*The Sims games*cough*
'nough said.

I've asked my guy friends that same question, and the invariable response is "because I'd rather stare at a girl's ass than a guys".

Which I've always found strange, because given the option most females I know will pick female characters to represent them.
Maybe we've finally stumbled upon some irrefutable psychological difference between men and women...
Someone quick-- write a book!

At this point, the only thing that might kill WoW is time, and a lot of it. Like more than 20 years.

This.
Actually, it's almost word for word what my first thought was lol!

I honestly can't think of any particular genre. If a game is good enough, I'll pretty much play anything.

I don't really follow sports games much, although I have played and enjoyed various golfing, football, skating, skiing and basketball games. Oh, and boxing games... So maybe that nixes that. :P

LOL! I swear I read the first post! Even the ensuing posts afterward! I must have missed the "coming out" part though. *Cough*
Selective reading perhaps? :P

You might try some of the Harvest Moon games. You play as a farmer and "level up" your farm. A decided lack of actual combat though haha.
There's always Rune Factory Frontiers if you like a bit of that tossed in though.

It looks like a scam, according to my Google search.

Too bad though, I'd be on that in a hot flash! ;)

Edit: For better link

Like how does a half finished, retailed priced add-on like Halo: ODST score the same as a featured filled, storyline extravagant, universe ingenius, very original and creative game like Mass Effect 2? And how does Mass Effect ONLY get 9.0?deedee_1

That's what I love about the review system here-- They allow their users to score the game, and the numbers reflect the games a lot better.
For example:

Halo: ODST -- User Score: 8.3 [5,753 votes]
Mass Effect 2 -- User Score: 9.4 [2,617 votes]

A 9.4 user score is phenomenal. Especially considering that it has been reviewed by our peers over 2,000 times.

I only wish that Gamespot would create a search system that would allow you to filter by user review score as well as by than their own scores.

It's not just you Muthsera, I'm having problems beating it too. I'm on my 3rd attempt, and Ravenholme is the furthest I've gotten. Something about the story feels like "Hi thar, I'm your old budd--OHNOAS, CALAMITY! Run for it!" [Insert drawn-out fighting portion] "Phew, we made it, as I was about to tell you befor-- OHNOAS! Here they are again, flee!"

:P

There are some really cool parts to it though, watching people get beaten up on the streets and the underground railroad feel is nifty. But it's just a matter of getting through the whole thing, I guess...

100 CIassic Book Collection for Nintendo DS

This.

TleilaxuMaster

LOL! I've got to get me that...

On topic:

Nobody's mentioned Dragon Age Origins?Really? I loved the story in that one. Great for if you like medieval ****western rpg's.

Also, if you like old-school pc games at all, the Baldur's Gate games are great.

I haven't beaten it yet, but Mass Effect is really good too, and the voice acting is amazing, which does a lot to bring the story to life.
