The PSP has a LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) screen. It is actually possible to fix and 'dead' or 'stuck' pixels without actually having to take anything apart.

1. Create two image files: one entirely black, one entirely white. Preferably saved at the PSP's native screen resolution.

2. Transfer the images to the PICTURES folder located in the root of your PSP Memory Stick.

3. Alternate between the two image files as quickly as possible.

4. Do this for about 30 seconds. You should see a few less dead pixels

You might be wondering how this can help. The theory is that some dead pixels are not completely dead, but rather just stuck. The on-off pulses, if quick enough, may wake up the pixel.

Enjoy.

Hello all.

I was just wondering about your opinions on the best way to stream media (pictures, videos and music) across a network from my Windows XP Service Pack 3 computer. What is the best software to use?

Hello all.

I have a simple question about VGA boxes.

If I were to get a VGA box like this or this to connect my old Playstation 2 and Xbox to a monitor, would I be losing any quality from the original signal outputed by the console?

Thank you very much.

A little old now.

But.

w00t.

Is there any reason to own a PS3 now? Please nobody mention Resistance 2, the first one was total ass wipe and is looks like a cheap rip of a Halo with a Gears of War art style.

Connect to a standard def TV and change back the settings. Your TV clearly doesn't support 1080p.

Looks like in-game XMB is on its way. This footage is ment to have come from the BioShock PS3 development team. It shows the XMB over the BioShock main menu.

Gaming Age yesterday posted a report that in-game Xross Media Bar support will in fact be a part of the Playstation 3 Firmware Update 2.40, which will release "sometime in June." Reader hukeedonfonics also tipped us to the above video, which shows in-game XMB over the BioShock title screen. Comments claim a BioShock developer leaked it. Gaming Age writes that requested features like a universal friends list, and in-game messaging will be a part of the drop, in addition to "a few rather nice surprises (*cough*soundtracks*cough*)" (their words, not mine.)

Read the full article and watch the video over at Kotaku here.

I can't think of anything but either something is faulty or the specs on the moniter were lied about.ttobba07

According to a post here, the Hannsg HW223D is not compatible. What a real shame. I have no idea oh playing my PS3 in HD now so I have to save for a monitor with a dedicated HDMI imput.

*sigh*

Is the moniter set to the right input? If it is, the moniter u bought has wrong specs listed because it should have worked.ttobba07

Yes. As soon as I turn the PS3 on, the monitor LED goes from amber to green to show that it is receiving some kind of imput signal but the screen remains black. Also, I am sure that is the monitor that I purchased.

try unplugging your the dvi-hdmi cable and blow to remove some dust that could be causing the problem. If that doesn't work your hdmi-dvi cable could be broken or something. melvinvth

The cable is new, and I dusted the port before inserting the pins. The cable can't be broken as the monitor LED turns green to show an imput when the PS3 is running but the screen remains black.

Thanks for the replies guys. Can anyone think of the solution?
