@izraal: beat me to it. Very well said. I enjoyed this season and especially the ending, because I both enjoyed the characters and the surprises. But, when you pick those surprises apart, you realize they actually fit the characters. Few shows can be this character AND plot driven and work so well.
@thelostscribe: Ah, I get it. Yes, this sounds like something that will benefit gaming, but I imagine both companies are looking even bigger and broader.
@thelostscribe: not to be that guy, but Phil Spencer is only in charge of Xbox division. Satya Nadella is the CEO of MSFT (and is quoted in the article).
I don't think the next Xbox will be a complete failure, but you're right, I think MSFT is playing the long game and is positioning Xbox as a brand and a service.
@Barighm: oh, maybe! lol I luckily don't have data caps and I feel for anyone that does. they should be illegal. compared to other F2P game, though, I think Dauntless has a great price model. :)
@videogameninja: I see it more as a series of non-linear missions connected by driving around instead of looking at loading screens. I'm kind of relieved that the "open world" isn't bloated with 40+ hours of content for a change.
@Kezzy123: It's about $10 for a "Hunter Pass" that, if you complete all 50 levels, pretty much pays for itself in rewards you earn, including about $10 of in game currency. or its just free to play.
Can't even finish watching this video. The movie was surprisingly easy to follow and doesn't contradict itself at all. Maybe the writers and directors have a different opinion on how Cap's staying in the past changes or doesn't change anything (I agree with the writers) but that's probably the only possibly confusing thing here. No wonder the content on this site has gotten poorer and poorer, if something like End Game confuses the staff this badly.
BTW, Scott Lang has multiple engineering degrees, he just doesn't understand time travel. Calling him the dumbest Avenger is ridiculous and uninformed nonsense. He's actually a brilliant scientist and tactician.
@Baconstrip78: I doubt they were at 2 thousand feet in the air. maybe 500 feet. but even at that height, it's one thing to spot the fleet (which she probably did) and it's another thing entirely to be surprised by some massive spear launching crossbow thing.
How is this a review? Isn't the driving force behind a plot the decisions that characters make? so if they all make super intelligent decisions, you pretty much have no story. I GET complaining that some boneheaded decisions are far away from the character growth we've witnessed. but ... is it? Isn't Jaime still a little selfish? Isn't Jon still more looking for acceptance from his family than any kind of leadership role? Isn't Daenrys a little unhinged?
Besides, we haven't actually seen some of these choices play out - it's that tension that keeps us watching. Will Jaimie join - or kill - Cersei in the end?
But I digress, my original question was... how is this a review??
@Gallesh: well if you already buy that Black Panther's suit and Iron Man's suit are made up of nanomachines that can hide inside jewelry... and further believe that at will, Iron Man's nano technology can create additional boosters, additional cannons, shields, and anything else Iron Man needs...
How hard is it to believe that the same nanomachines can't migrate some Infinity stones around by themselves?
