Chris should see a chiropractor. I started having panic attacks a few years ago, and it turns out my spine was crooked and my heart/lungs were getting whacky jolts from my brain.
Granted, he probably is getting really stressed out and anxious. But I never would have thought to look for a physical cause for my panic attacks, because everyone kept telling me it was psychological.
That's so cool! I was worried that they were going to be dropped entirely, but this is even better news! I wonder if it will tie in with Agents of SHIELD?!?!
I can't wait to see what the impact of the PS4 Pro is. Will it sell out? Be a flop? I imagine a lot of clueless consumers will get one as their first PS4, and that's fine, I'm just wondering how many more beyond that will sell.
(Not bashing it, I'm genuinely curious how this strategy will play out.)
Hahaha mark my words: the kiddies will "hate" this game but the only reason will be because they can't "no-scope" like in previous CODs. I can't wait to taste all their salty tears!
@GunEye: Agreed. None of this sounded like anything new or anything we haven't seen or heard before. Edit: I just had a thought that, due to review embargoes, they were probably restricted on what they could say. Just a thought.
The Switch is an interesting idea. As the concept sounds, it could be successful. At least some people will find it rewarding to be able to play the exact same game on their home TV and on the go.
Others, like me who don't play "on the go" will likely ignore that feature, and then the "home" console better be amazing or we'll lose interest. I can only guess the percentage of people that will not be interested in the Switch.
THAT is likely why the investors are doubtful. Nintendo will be cannibalizing their own mobile market and for what? Will this sell more units than the Wii U? More than the 3DS?
In my opinion, they could have taken the Switch in a slightly different direction with a similar concept but one that would have made more people interested:
1. Upgraded their mobile platform to be more powerful. It's inevitable that they'll need to update the 3DS to be more powerful and competitive. Call it the new GameBoy. Tablet controller like the WiiU GamePad and the Switch design (but omg more comfortable to hold! lol) This makes the mobile gamers happy.
2. Created a REAL home console. The NX is actually a pretty cool name, but throw in an I. NIX. Nintendo 9. As in the 9th generation home console. This make the console gamers happy.
3. Like the Wii U, let the new GameBoy and the console sync up. If people liked the 2 screen experience, go for it, make some cool game crossovers....but make it OPTIONAL. Create an ecosystem of shared games. Make Cross-Play a thing where you don't have to buy two versions of the same game. Sure, the GameBoy version of the "same" game will be less powerful, but at least the console version won't be pulled down because of it.
@thomasn7: We'll probably see what Rob said at first, but over a few years start seeing more and more 4K content. So it's smart for MS to provide the power/options.
