@jagdedge124: not sure what you mean. I'm 42 and I can't WAIT for Halo 5 and Black Ops 3. I've been playing the crap out of Destiny (PS4 version) in anticipation.

I'll jump on some FO4 after a few months of bug fixes. and some convincing videos showing that (hopefully) the controls have improved.

then I might jump on some AC. maybe. If I'm not too busy playing Heroes of the Storm or Halo 5. :)

Why not post a SP review?

I think those should be separate, anyway.

At least do a review in progress. Of course there will be bumps for online service problems on the first day. no reason to include that in a review. if they are still having problems a month or more from now, that's a different story.

there were some other "firsts" back in 2001 -

having "staged events" happen WHILE you were playing instead of pausing for a cut scene kept the action/story moving at the same time. (Half Life did it, too, which is maybe why GS isn't giving Halo credit, but it was the same year.)

5.1 stereo was a first in Halo CE (I think)

LAN games, built in hard drive for map packs (Halo 2), Xbox Live (also Halo 2) the original Xbox/Halo did a LOT to evolve the video game industry!

@TTDog: I feel like some of them "get it" more than others.

I think the best deal was when Alienware got tired of waiting and released their "Alpha" with Windows OS and an Xbox controller.

I scratch my head at any of these builds with an i3 or even lower processor.

the Brix with integrated graphics is actually quite powerful depending on the game. it can play games like League with high settings and you would be fooled to think it has a dedicated GPU.

I like choices, don't get me wrong, but some of these just seem like super-duper expensive PCs. I don't quite understand using the "Steam Machine" branding at that point.

@wexorian: again, maybe on PC. it's pretty healthy on X1. free DLC helped a lot, as did adding several new game types.

@knyght1008: Did you watch the video? 90% of the video was talking about different classes and abilities and setting up combos and team work and using more team work and strategy and out strategizing the other team using combos and classes and different abilities..

if you don't like shooters, great, but they are hardly worthless. out-thinking and out-performing "the other guy" is almost never rinse/repeat because everyone has different play styles and abilities.

So awesome. While fanboys are arguing over 900/1080p up-scaled COD and Battlefront, X1 gamers will be playing Halo 5 and PC gamers will be playing Overwatch. what a great holiday season this will be!

I hope, like Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard adds some AI to practice with AND to take over characters when people get disconnected. Like Danny said, I am worried about teams getting face-rolled because someone rage quits or leaves the match.

@wkadalie: I did play FO3 and New Vegas, and I'm playing TR first, too. FO4 has a lot to prove to me, IMO so I'm going to wait and see (for example, better/different control scheme, i did NOT like it.)
