This is an absolute total scam and I can't believe anybody would endorse this blatant money grab by companies that are already doing very well because they have said used games "are hurting the industry".

News flash douches used sales effect the majority of industries, it's part of the cost of doing business in 90% of industries that are not based around food and beverages. People buy used cars instead of new ones which can't help car makers bottom line but you don't see GM disabling traction control and Air bags on cars once they've been sold to a second consumer. Would those of you in favor of this crap be in favor of 1080p tv's having their HDMI outlets disabled once somebody decided to sell it on ebay because they wanted a new set? How about when somebody buys a used PC all the components are underclocked and locked at those speeds until you pay the manufacturer of said parts a fee to have them fully functional again?

Obviously the things I've said would be almost impossible to implement but I think you get the point...what they are doing is very short sighted, underhanded and greedy and it's going to bite them in the ass in the long run. For starters, not many but some people will boycott developers that do this, secondly and more importantly what they don't seem to see is when people sell their games a lot of the times the money they get for them goes towards new games. EB games is not going to pay as much for a used game that is gimped that isn't going to sell as easily because of its limitations and extra cost which means the consumer now has less money to put back into the industry. Also their are a lot of consumers that would never buy a new console if the used game market wasn't what it is, so now they lose that sale and any add ons and online purchases they may have made, the list goes on and on. You can shear a sheep a hundred time but only skin it once, these jerks are going to realize that the hard way.

Dear misguided and misinformed TC.... I have both consoles and have 15 games on my PS3, 12 Bluray Movies, and only 5 on the 360. IMO PS3 > 360. Your thread fails terribly.DJCUEBALL
Because a tiny percentage of people that happens to include you has a higher attach rate for the PS3 does not mean the thread fails. What it means is you and a few other are the exception to the rule. Low software sales are a real problem for the PS3 whether or not you want to admit it.

ATI 4670 is getting solid reviews so far and doesn't require any additional power from the PSU, just plug it in and play. Can play most games maxed at 1280X1024 for $80. If you have a power supply that can handle it an 8800gt or 9600GT are more then worth the extra $20-$40.

If they use UPS I will never use Newegg.ca. Not only do you have to pay duty but UPS also tags you with a brokerage fee which is essentially them charging you 60-70 dollars to stamp your package at the border. UPS would have you believe that all delivery companies use brokerage fees and to an extent they're right but it is rarely used by others. UPS will hit you with it everytime where another service may only hit you 20-25% of the time.

Anyone who complains about optional installs is an insane idiot. If you like the option and have the disk space use it. if you don't like it just ignore it and nothing changes.

i dont think we will have anything more taxing than crysis for a few years yet Goldmatter

Crysis is just a poorly optimized game and is a bad example to cite. I see games in the not to distant future that will look as good or better then Crysis and not demand SLI 9800GTX to get 35fps.

Any problems suggestions or things I should change ?

You could get 800mhz RAM that performs 98% as well as 1033mhz RAM and for half the price. PSU is over the top IMO, grab the corsair 520watt for 30-40 bucks less. Don't let the watts fool you, the 520watt is on par or better then most companies 600-650 watt models. Assuming you're playng games at 1680x1050 or below a 4850 would be more then sufficient and it only costs $200. A lot of benchmarks have it slightly higher then a 9800gtx and it uses less power.

The 9600gt performs better in SLI then 8800gt's do. You get about 15-20% better performance for 15-20% less cash.
