I'd have to go with MGS4 due to world wide appeal. Gears won't sell in Japan. I might rent Gears but I doubt I'll be picking it up. While I did have fun with the campaign and playing co-op on the first one, the multiplayer did absolutely nothing for me. I'd rather stick with CoD4.
I would only get the Metal Gear collection over Crisis Core if you have not experienced the Metal Gear games. That would have way more value. But since you have, I'd go with Crisis Core.
Halo 3 (Epic failure of a single player campaign.) Assassin's Creed Gears of War (Hated the MP except for Co-op. Campaign was too short.) Lair (As a previous poster said, how exactly do you f*** up dragons smashing s***? Seriously, how? This ranks up as one of the biggest disappointments for me.) Oblivion (While I did put in a lot of time to the game it didn't even come remotely close to the depth that Morrowind had.) Perfect Dark Zero (How exactly did this game get the score it did. Looking back, this game is more like a 7.5)
A console's generation is defined by the time period it was released. Therefore, whether people (read ignorant fanboys) want to admit it or not, the Wii is a current generation console. Not last generation. That was the Gamecube.
I'm thinking the green filter is used to set the atmosphere of a particular set of scenes or time of day. And to those that want bright colors, go eat a bag of skittles. Its a battlefield in the Middle East. Not Vegas.... Either way the game is shaping up to be great.
