I think you miss the point, this time round no patches will fix it. Are they going to patch in different portraits, overhaul the way agents, diplomacy and politics work, path in seasons and more than 1 yr a turn, or remove capture points or arcadey magic skills, no they are not.

Possibly the worst review I've read on GS. This guy has no isea what he is talking about. They've ripped the heart out of TW, the design changes have utterly broken the game. It's a boring mess. Check out the TW official forums for the real story. Gamespot, I thought you were better than this!

This is very good news. None of this free to play - pay to win crap, If the game is good enough then people will play. WoW and Eve are all the proof you need of that.

Holy crap, it's Madden 2004 all over again, once again!

I just want to say that I love you for this review. 5.5 is exactly what the cynical annual roster and gimmick update that is Madden deserves. They have not tried to improve on the game since Madden 05. It's a disgrace and I wish people would stop buying this junk so that EA lose the licence. Watch as IGN award Madden 9+ again this year. Thank you for giving this industry some much needed integrity.
