I heard that some weightlifting guy wasn't happy about some call or something and he won Bronze. He was so angry that he put the medal on the podium and walked away. :|
Fencing, she was actually training in Hungary with the Hungarian team, but they didnt want her in the olympic training camp for obvious reasons. She ended up facing a Hungarian girl who she trained with and she lost. She then turned aroudn and told the Hungarians "**** you all" and stormed off.

TC I dont think you know the difference between popular and wellknown, it doesnt matter wat negative things other people have done, it may make them less popular but it doesnt change how well known they are, infact scandals and things like taking steroids makes people more well known. Michael may be popular in North America but the rest of the world isnt as aware or care about him. He is not as well known as you think he is and will be forgotten after the Olympics. Proffesional athletes such as Michael Jordan, Ronaldinho and Hollywood stars such as Brad Pitt and and Paris Hilton are more wellknown worldwide.
Phelps the biggest celeb in the world of all time? Far from it. He can set all of the records he wants and get as many gold medals he can, but just because he's the only Olympic athlete that anyone can rememberoutside of the games doesn't make him "the biggest celeb in the world."

Why do you think oprah is so rich because millions and i mean MILLIONS of people watch her show and thats just advertisement money for her, even if you dont watch her show you still know who she is.
I'm talking WORLD here, I was never aware Oprah was popular in other countires.
