I have both consoles and even though the 360 sold more hardware and software this year, the ps3 had the better line up of games. The 360 only had gears 3, forza, and the milkage that is Halo CE aniversary and some kinect junk. Multiplats and gears 3 is the only thing that saved it from being a utter failure this year. The 360 needs more first party support games ASAP stuff like modern warfare aren't gonna last you forever. Sooner or later people will get tired of the same games every year. TheBlizz87Fixed
I don't know why the hell people say ps3 needs updates or installs everytime they turn it on. Ps3 system updates come every once and a while and for me they don't take that long to download less than 5 mins. Mandatory game installs are annoying but they aren't that frequent either. Playing a game like Mass Effect and really getting into the story only to have to stop, turn the lights on and swap discs its a bit more annoying in my book.
i don't understand how this game is heaped with praise when almost every explanation for everything in the game is either nanomachines or computer AIs.
for reference, YES, i have played all the other MGS games, and i know what i am talking about when i say that MGS4 has a bad story. coming off of MGS3 and 1 which had semi-decent narratives, here you have a story that is composed of incoherent ramblings and babbling nonsense that would make any 6th grade utterly confused.
why is this game given such accolades when everyone knows the narrative is among the worst in gaming? all plot devices are either cliched, silly, contrived, or told through fantastic repetition.

Sure MGS4 and the overall MGS plot can be silly and convlouted at times. BUT if your a fan of the series it all makes sense. MGS4 did a good job in my book because it was wrapping up all of the plot points in the entire series. So MGS 4 is really for TRUE fans of MGS. I prefer MGS over mindless running and guning any day of the week. To this day very few games can match MGS 3 in story telling and emotion. The reason MGS 4 got the scores and accolades because it better than the garbage that passes for a story in most other action games today ( like MW3 and Halo).
