Game isnt even out and your saying its GoTY...

Because reviews are starting to come in. Alot of the overseas review sites are giving it high scores in the 90's. Here in the U.S GameInformer gave it a perfect score 10.

This game has a lot of content thats for sure.

Besides even if Batman Arkham City did have an 8 hour campaign it would still be longer than BF3 and MW 3's campaign.

This game has 40 plus hours of content (main story, side missons etc) plus planned DLC missions. The Gameinformer review said that after he beat the game once he only had 42 percent completed and he said he had well over 60 hours in. Plus is open world so yea......... its the shortest game ever.

As far as console graphics go Rage, Uncharted 3, Gears 3, and Crysis 2 are the best looking games. PC Battefield 3, Rage, Crysis 2 are the best looking ones I have seen. For me Rage and Uncharted 3 beat Gears 3 in graphics still.

I doubt Dead Space or Crysis 2 will take it. Most people have already forgot about them already, even though they are both great games just not Game of the Year worthy IMO.

I don't consider Modern Warfare 3 threat. I doubt any sane person would give Modern Warfare 3 the game of the year award its a rehash of MW 2. Batman Arkham City does have some very tough competition with Uncharted 3, BF3, Skryim, Zelda. I mean read some of the reviews for Batman Arkham City and you will see why I think this game may have a chance. The GameInformer review in particular gave me a HUGE Nerdgasm!!

Everyone is excited because it is a sequel in a great gaming franchise. Uncharted 2 won game of the year in 2009 so naturally the hype for Uncharted 3 will be threw the roof. A better statement TC is Why are people excited about Modern Warfare 3?

Are you kidding me? Loaded with content and has a compelling story and great combat. Sure there no mulitplayer but who cares? This game is one to watch out for. And in all honesty is already better that MW 3 will ever be.

I don't know if you guys have noticed but Batman Arkham City got a 10 from gameinformer and has gotten scores in the high 9's from other review sites over seas etc. I am super pumped for this game and I can't believe the strong comments from reviews like "The Best Game Ever Made!". God next Tuesday can't get here fast enough. All these other games people are drooling over like Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3, BF3, Uncharted 3 better take notice. Batman Arkham City could very well take the award this year.

(By the way I am also excited about the other big games comming out this year that I mentioned above, so no fanboyism from me).
