I think it is because we live in a more cynical age where we can judge films harshly. That and Hollywood just churns out bad film after bad film where most of the actors have a much more appealing body then actual acting abilities.
The 'Slasher' genre pretty much killed any sense of horror from films anyway, the same idea is used over and over with the masked madman going on a killing spree of sexually driven teens is the same horror film I have seen many times before. The short lived love of the Japanese Horror films was good at the time but again has sadly fallen through the cracks of "lets milk this for all its worth" and now we see more films of the pale, scary, wide eyed woman that crawls after you in a strangely freaky way.
Occasionally you find gem of a horror film but that is a in a rare circumstance where the director actually WANTS to make a decent horror flick and not one that is just trashy.
So I have been a PS3 owner for around 9 months and it has been good but I made that investment into a 360. When I got my XBL set up all I can say is, wow. It works incredibly well, so much easier to set up games and to talk to friends.
So what I am wondering is, since I've got quite a few games on my PS3, should I sell off multiplat games like CoD4 and World at War and get them for the 360 orwould it be a waste of time and money?
Yeah, I too find it really boring. I mean, whats the point? All you have is guys chasing around female avatars anyway. It's a year late, its been delivered unfinished and in beta and I have found no use for it whatsoever.
Since I got my PS3 in March of this year, I started using this forum again. Basically, I am unknown but this forum has been great, helped with me gaming problems, had great debates and fantastic laughs with my fellow PS3 owners and fellow gamers alike.
So to everyone on this forum, have a great Christmas and lets bring in the fun again for 09! Keep on gaming!:P
I will give you one reason and one reason alone as to why you should buy a PS3....
If you do not buy a PS3...you will die. The death you will indure will not be quick, it will be slow and painfull. Your eyeballs will melt and your kneecaps will expode. Your genitals drop off after turning black and ooze with puss and the bones in your toes will crack into peices. Finally, you will cough up your own lungs and choke to death on them while they urge themselves up through your windpipe.
Rockstar seem going backwards yet forwards. Look at GTAIII, it was basically what IV is now except IV is VASTLY improved on the driving elements and graphics. Then came Vice City, the same engine at GTAIII but improved with motorbikes and more stuff to do once the game was complete.
Thats why I believe the next GTA will be in Vice City cause rockstar are basically doing what they did last gen, creating the engine and then improving on it every new title they bring out.
