Why should we have to wait a year for the game just to accomidate you? And end up getting a worse game because of it at that? I know your a lemming and all, but im questioning the fact that you are so excited by the possibility of this, and its kind of selfish IMO. Absolutely no good can come from this, other than a 360 fanboys ego being fed. The sales it would have recieved on the 360 would simply be replaced by PS3.

Blaming the 360 for lack of towns isn't a fair assessment, some adjustment had to be made sure. But previous FF games on PS2 featured both towns and multiple discs, it's a design problem really.

No, they didnt. The PSone games did. FF7-9 were multiple, but FF10, 10-2, and 12 were all single disc. 10 and 10-2 I know for a fact are single disk because I owned them, and the fact that 12 is single disk as well is easily findable in a google search.

Preforms? *yeah sorry no, that has nothing to do with the power of the ps3 or the power of the 360, it happens to do with a low port time of the 360 version and all around short run of optimization* WilliamRLBaker

You guys are thinking of off-screen SCREENSHOTS that give games an advantage. Those you cannot go by. However, off-screen videos are a clear representation of what the game will look like on your tv.

and ive heard 20 others note the improvements in the controls. I thinl i'll take their word over yours .

Amazing art. I just love KZ art direction.

Btw have you read Half-Life Raising the Bar artbook? If you ever saw the prototype HL2 artwork you would instantly think about Killzone 2. Too bad none of it ended up in HL2, but we have KZ2 instead so yeah :D I'll make a thread about it sometime later.

Uncharted, God of War, and Killzone 3 concepts have got to be the best in gaming. The only game messing with sony is Metroid Prime, Zelda and Mario. Oh, and I guess I cant leave out Blizzard, WoW and Starcraft have some amazing art too.

I cant wait for them to release a Killzone 3 art book. You know they are going to make one, because they made an Uncharted 2 art book, and just recently the GoW3 art book came out like a week ago.

I am definately going to buy both of these, and eventually the Killzone 3 art book as well when I get the chance. Google them and you will find pictures of the art thats inside them. Simply amazing.

EDIT: Upon further inspection on the prices, I might have a second thought about buying those lol. However, it would be good to get the collectors edition, and sell it on ebay for 7k 10 years from now lol. And no, I havent read the Half Life artbook, but ive seen the concepts and screenshots, and even DL'ed the steam demo on my comp. It does have amazing art.

I think Killzone 3 has Uncharted 2 potential if the art direction is anywhere near as inspired as the above games though lol.

One thing you didnt notice that improved. Notice the crumbled buildings, and that the edges of the metal beams are burning and turning red and have embers flying off of them.

Also, some of you may have noticed back in the gamescom footage that when you are wearing the jetpack, and you fire the machine gun for more than a few seconds, the tip of the barrel heats up and turns bright red, then cools back down after a few seconds. (this was an improvement seen in the gamescom single player footage, but it WASNT in any of the E3 footage).

just seeing the leap they made from E3 to Gamescom to Pax, and realizing that after all this, they are STILL in pre-alpha is simply amazing.

There's going to be some quality loss when recording from a stream, but I agree the actual game isn't going to look as good as the pictures. Epic has been doing this since Gears 1. It's marketing. Most companies do it.

That doesnt even look anywhere close to this video of Killzone 3's multiplayer lol.

I dont know why people are hyping this game for graphics. If any 360 game ever does surpass a PS3 graphics king (which will not happen), it sure as hell wont be an Unreal engine game. U3 engine simply is not capable of it.

Killzone has the second best art direction this gen. The first is TF2.

Lol @ him cherrypicking the ugliest pictures he can find. And then taking a screenshot of an ugly corner (in a video when there are better videos :lol: ) and trying to say the best looking console game this generation looks worse than a 360 launch title.

Indeed, nobody is messing with sony this gen in art direction.

lol, so does God of War 3. i did a comparison back on page 5, and some more on page 6.

Here are some Uncharted 2 DIRECT FEED shots.

These and the God of War 3 shots (on pages 5 and 6) were taken by DigitalFoundry during "making of" articles that disected the technical specs of both games.
