what was the point of this...he's played Geow3. he has a ps3 sig even...why are you acting like he can't have his own opinion?besides, its already been proven you don't know what the hell you're talking about lol.

It wasnt the TC but other Lemmings that brought UC2, GoW 3, and Killzone into this, not me. They brought it on themselves. Read the entire thread and see for yourself if you care that much.

And lol I didnt even have to say anything, the screenshots speak for themselves ;) Not exactly sure how you can "prove" screenshots wrong :?

That is such a terrible excuse. Gears is restrictive as well. It is a path-based game. The whole game is essentially scripted. So what's the difference?

This. I hate when people use that excuse on Gow3 and Uncharted 2, when Gears is EXACTLY as linear and "restrictive" as those games are (and Ive played both). Its nothing but an excuse. Pure and simple.

I also love how they always throw around the "linear" and "tiny corridor spaces" as if it somehow makes the game less fun. Obviously the reviewers didnt care.

It is the custom AA solution that God of War 3 uses, and the reason it is jaggie free. It is the equivalent of 16x MLAA. And the reason jaggies will never show up on any GOW3 screenshot.

No. This game doesnt come close to God of War 3 in assets, lighting, textures, polygons, nothing.

not this again :roll:. No, they are not bullshots. They were taken by DigitalFoundry, NOT sony. They were taken for a making of feature they did. Besides, they have the freaking HUD on them. If sony did release bullshots, they would not try to trick people into thinking it was gameplay by pasting a HUD. They would make no effort to conceal the fact that it is a bullshot

I'm going to be honest, the game looks incredible. Even better than anything I've seen on the PS3 including Uncharted 2 and GOWIII but GOWIII still has the best art direction in my opinion.

Just for lulz. Notice the concrete blocks on the bottom right. Nicely textured, with ROUNDED egdes.

Killzone 3 looks ugly as hell lol

lol wut? Killzone 3 uses not only higher polygon assets than gears, it has MASSIVELY higher rez textures than gears does.

Killzone 3's character model textures are most likely 2560 x 2560 (same resolution as kratos in GOW3) while Gears 3 models look about 256 x 256 (this is normal). That is literally 10 times the texture resolution in models.

Just to be fair, Nathan Drake in Uncharted 2 uses 256's, while Kratos in GOW3 uses 2500's. (Drake, however,uses 80k polygons while Kratos only 35k)

Killzone 3's other assets also have better textures as well. Go watch that single player video Ive posted 100 times in those other threads. You wont find an unperfect texture in it.

Not to mention Gears 3's assets look like they use even less polygons than Killzone 3 does.

System wars is ridiculous some times. So any game that isn't "graphics king" is outdated? I wasn't aware graphics decided which game was more fun, however. I'll try and remember that.

Doesn't matter, Cows can say what they like but all the particle effects and motion blur in the world cannot hide the fact that Killzone looks like a blurry mess with low-poly models.
