Man, I hate that picture...
Have you got anything more suitable?

The Halo series is unique.

It's uniquely generic and outdated :P Hey Reach is adding sprint! It's modernizing itself a bit :DThe Halo series contains among the most successful and critically acclaimed FPS games of all time. Generic shooters are those that try to kill it, such as the atrocious Killzone, Haze and Resistance.

But KZ2 excels at the former two while the latter is the matter of taste.
Orchid87
That may be but it doesn't make the game original.
No FPS is original.
The Halo series is unique.

If Halo is so "overrated and generic", then why is Sony even trying to have their own "Halo"? ;)
FragTycoon
Because it's fanboys saying it.. not Sony.
Killzone has never tried to have the same style or feel of Halo, that's why I like it over all the other copycat FPS (witch include Halo itself)
Dude, don't you think that Sony want to see Killzone receive the same acclaim and sales as Halo?
Yeah because Killzone is totally not copycat and completely original.[QUOTE="Anjunaddict"][QUOTE="FragTycoon"]

Lets start from the beginning so we are on the same page... have you played Killzone 1 and 2?
Exactly why would he want to play a 6.9 game that failed in a pretty miserable manner?
*fails argument* Uh ... but it has this!!!! Yes, Halo has way superior customatisation, and i will enjoy it for that. It also has way more vareity in the guns, I will enjoy it for that. It will have a vareity of game modes so you always have something to do, I will enjoy it for that. But stop comparing Halo: Reach to Killzone 3 because its the best looking Halo so far. Halo Reach has its pros and cons, Killzone 3 has its pros and cons. No game is flawless, but both of these games will most probably be amazing in their own right...[QUOTE="chaplainDMK"][QUOTE="Anjunaddict"]
And? Does Killzone have the features of customisation that Halo offers? Something which i think is a lot more important than superficial graphics.

Well i don't know about all you gamers, but to me, graphics is not top of my list in terms of what i look for in a game. I couldn't care less that Killzone 3 is uber pretty, its the gameplay, the content, the story etc that will get me interested in it.
Thats why i love the Halo games so much, Bungie focus on whats important rather than making the games uber pretty. And if allowing 4 player splitscreen means the graphics have to be toned down a bit, then Bungie will do it.
I don't think anyone cares about the graphics that much. What kind of impact did Crysis have on the gaming community? It was a great game - the most beautiful graphics ever seen - but people chose Call of Duty 4 and Halo 3 instead.
Killzone 3 looks better and with improved controls could become a very popular FPS, but the popularity of Halo still holds, even though KZ3 might be a better game IMO, the only thing holding it back was the controls and thats been fixed, and yes I played Halo also.

I personally think that Killzone 3 will be a great game, but sadly forgotten months after its relese.

Somebody started a graphical argument and I'm just saying that claiming that Reach looks better then Killzone 2 is preaty far fetched. I agree that Killzone fails in places that Halo shines, but Halo also fails in places that Killzone shines. Its just the way games go, no game can be perfect...Halo: Reach fails in one place Killzone shines.
