I've always chosen PS because of the variety of games, XBOX has shooters and racers, Sony has these and platformers, RPGs, adventure/action ...

As for the "new techs", Kinect simply can't compete with camera + Move : you would lay on your belly and fake swim in front of camera? more simply in an action game, you can't turn back or you won't see the screen, platformer? you want to buy new furniture to jump on it? for many sports moving around is just inefficient, the "jog on place" to run is unnatural and can't allow you the finesse a controller can, especially football where you must react fast to avoid defender tackles or pass.

The new internet uses allowing sharing of videos or photos, a friend taking over your game to help you, will open new ways of playing together.

The new pad also could be used for new things : the speaker can send atmospheric sounds (I liked in Warframa having your contact tell your missions through it), the touch pad is already used in many ways (lighting torch in Tomb raider, navigating map in Assassin's creed).

I thought this statement was truly stupid as it makes no sense as to how goggles on your eyes are going to be the future and makes people look like lazy slobs.

That looks like being lazy to you?

There is so much potential in that.

90% of gamers will be tired after 15 minutes of this

just wait a few months / updates, mandatory Kinect, mandatory connexion each day (but as you don't know what time of day it's the same as connexion all the time), killing the used game business, all will come back in a way or another

As for those modern game gadgets (Kinect, game pad for WiiU, Oculus Rift, 3D) the tech has been developed without knowing what to do with it and if it really brought anything good. First practical problem : you'll be able to turn your head left and right to look around but when you want to move you'll need a different output to confirm the direction or your neck will be tired fast staying in the same direction. Then the closer to your eyes, light and proximity of things will tire your eyes., and cause motion sickness.

This game is remembered for a reason, very strong story, characters, twists ... The power and equipment management is quite generic. The combat system uses a similar device as in Shadow hearts where you have to time the press of a button for maximum effect. The system seemed strange to me but you get used to it fast as it's quite forgiving.

I'm on the fence too. The most problematic to me is having different powers with separate trees, meaning you'll split your XP between them. So you'll get the first power, ivest XP in it, then discover a new power, put XP in it, then a third one, put XP in it ... Then just like one and regret spending XP in the others ... And it seems annoying to have to find a power source to change powers too, if you have these powers, why not just change when you want?

And I guess some opponent are weak or resistant to a power or another, which will make you run around, change power, and again as some groups will be mixed, far from my idea of having fun playing a game.
