Now imagine something like that happening to a fetus. The baby comes out and woops, there is a dead toad attached to the side of it's ass under the skin. D:

 You consider that rich...that looks almost like a carbon copy of my neighborhood, and mine is nothing fancy.

you do realize that not everybody in america lives in upper middle ****suburbia:|, i remeber when i first moved to florida from new york i saw houses like that and said "holy crap these people are rich".

I do realize that not everyone lives in the upper-middle, but tc was saying that the people living there are rich, and those houses were probably in the 500,000-800,000 dollar range which isn't rich, rich is more like 1,000,000 and up.

That is a **** load.

We bought our house for about 200k and I'd consider that middle c1ass

Agreed. And for somewhere close to Brooklyn those houses are probably pretty freaking spendy.

Bill Clinton came to my city today and i ended up shaking his hand after listening to his speech. I thought this was pretty much a once in a lifetime deal to shake a former presidents hand. Pretty cool.

Have any of you ever seen/touched a famous person?

[QUOTE="blackacidevil96"]there is hardly another to blame for someone elses problems. seperating the world into east and west is just an easy way to blame the other half. i truely believe that anyone who works for it can change their position in life if they so desire. while many who are rich didnt have to work at all. there are also a lot of self made people who do it with honest work. you only get back what you put in. thats the way it should beblackacidevil96

The Gospel of Wealth. The only way the tc's dream will come true is with a full world communistic government.... sounds like fun right?

communism only works in small, very small communities. but in the large world market of the modern world its impossible. there is no reason for our docotors to get paid the same as someone who pumps gas. while there is nothing wrong with pumping gas to make you money. it can hardly be considered correct to pay them equal to a Dr. and thats what would happen under communism. TC's dream will never happen. we have limited world resources and that is the very first thing anyone learns in an economics. and it is the driving force behind all markets

Exactly. Communism on paper sounds very much like a perfect world. Complete harmony, everyone has everything they need. Sadly, Communism will never work on a bigger scale than a small town.

how bad do you want to help them? thats the first question, if you want to go all out then set up an intervention for them. family friends, and all the rest, make them realize that its killing them slowly, if that doesnt help...which would be even more frustrating for you, then you should move in with a friend or relative because they obvisouly wouldnt care enough to help themselves so theyll almost never be able to help you, perhaps if all of that stuff doesnt work when your gone theyll realize how bad they screwed up and finally get helplinkin_guy109

I want to help them. They are really great parents during the day. Its just like after 9 that they start drinking. It's ridiculous how much they change.

Something i swore i'd never do, ask an internet forum for advice. Well, here i am. I just thought some anonymous opinions could help my situation.

I'm 16 and live with both my parents and my sister. Ever since i can remember after around 9:30 my parents would start acting weird. Until i entered high school i took the naive approach and just shrugged it off as they were really tired. I always knew just never wanted to admit my parents were those parents that "had a problem". They generally drink around 3 beers each and take shots of whiskey and vodka throughtout the night. They aren't the abusive type. My dad generally just degrades to a bumbling idiot and my mom starts acting very "picked upon" and defensive. Its not liek they beat me it's just extremely frustrating to try and ask your parents a question and your dad doesn't understand and your mom thinks your verbally abusing her.

Most of my life and i just took the "grin and bear it" approach. About a week ago, my dad started yelling at me for somehting completely ridiculous so i confronted him abotu his drinking. His response was something to the effect of "You couldn't understand and i'm getting help". I highly doubt they are getting help but it is starting to negatively effect their health. My dads blood pressure is sky high and all that and my mom is overweight. Awesome.

So my question is. If talking to them doesn't work, should i try and tell another relative about this problem? Have any of you had to deal with something similar to this?

I'm asking for real opinions or answers. please. no smart ass remarks.
