Genuinely surprised at the review... thought the devs were gonna mess this game up. I'll wait to read/watch some amateur reviews to make sure Gamespot/IGN etc aren't just BS-ing / throwing softballs like they sometimes do with AAA games, but this is back on my "might buy" list for now :)

@C-P-30 @The_Beanster @Lucasdxx You should look at actual benchmarks instead of Nvidia's marketing. TXAA is very demanding. I just said MSAA rather than "AA" because he could be using fake AA aka FXAA which comes with basically zero performance cost.

I agree with you that it's superior to MSAA, but it's not the roses and rainbows Nvidia claims.

Also those mechanics are basically the same in each Crysis game. Invisibility is just straight up exploitable, in Crysis 1, 2, and 3.

@Lucasdxx Like I said, you're not maxing the game out.You're not using DX11, and I highly doubt you're using MSAA.

Even if your card were dx11 capable, you wouldn't be able to max far cry 3. Your card is substantially weaker than a 7770, which can't even max out FC3 at 1920x1200.

You have an old card and if you want to play new games, at some point you're gonna need an upgrade. Sorry to break it to you.

Hey I heard Ninja Gaiden Black is an easy game too since it had Ninja Dog difficulty on it.

The issue is not ease, the issue is that there are mechanics which are exploitable. The higher difficulties force you to use those, and even then I still wouldn't call it "easy".

@Lucasdxx I don't believe you that you have a non-DX11 card that is capable of maxing Far Cry 3 at 1920x1200 (partly because "maxing" involves DX11 effects).

And sooner or later you need to upgrade to DX11. The next console generation is going to be dx11 based... this is just Crytek telling you that the last generation is finally over.

@Madball357 If this game is a corridor shooter, every non-open world shooter is a corridor shooter.

Also, some corridor shooters are worthwhile.

@komil @The_Beanster for me it's probably a 9 as well. I can understand why someone may not think it's that good, but I can't see how Kevin can think it's not as good as Crysis 2. Crysis 2 had a less polished multiplayer, dumbed down graphics, a story that was nearly impossible to follow or understand, a bunch of below average level design, and no well written or interesting characters.

Crysis 2 was a 6.5 or a 7 to me - an average game.

It really does smell like a console review and not a PC one - for both Crysis 2 and 3.

@toderascu23 DX 11 has been out for years and it costs less than this game to get a DX11 graphics card. Stop whining. DX11 requirement is long overdue in the PC world.

Don't know how this game gets called out for being too easy. On normal maybe, but Veteran is an OK difficulty and the top two difficulties are just nuts... you die so fast and basically can't make any mistakes.

I just finished up the campaign and I fail to see how anyone could score this game lower than Crysis 2. It's just such a huge improvement from that game in every way.

And my goodness... dem graphics.... WOW. This is the first game to truly top Crysis in terms of visuals.
