NES

Four years old

One of the Super Mario Bros. trilogy games. My mom or grandma got all three at a yard sale. I can’t remember which one I played first. My memory is that it was Super Mario Bros. 2, but I don’t know if I am creating a false memory. Either way, all three games are in my top 100 all time.

@last_lap: I thought Capcom revitalized Resident Evil with VII: Biohazard. They brought back the scary aspect of the series. To me, Biohazard is the scariest game in the franchise, and it felt every bit a Resident Evil game as any (minus the beloved campiness).

Capcom is probably my favorite developer besides Nintendo. So maybe I have some sort of fanboy bias.

@ConanTheStoner: RE3 Remake is super underrated in my opinion. It was a good, thrilling, fast paced adventure after RE2 Remake. I never completed the original RE3, so the handling of “source material” didn’t bother me.

And I really liked Village, too. 🤷‍♂️

As far as Capcom’s recent output, Street Fighter V seems to have been a turning point, though the game initially had a lukewarm reception. For me personally, Mega Man 11 (2018, I think) was a sign that Capcom was back. That was one of the best mainline Mega Man games, and it was an ode to a franchise that many thought Capcom was neglecting.

@Mozelleple112: I like RE4 better than almost every game ever made, including Doom, but Doom is just plain fun. Its simplicity is part of its appeal. And yes, the music is also great.

@Mozelleple112: Doom games are great because they have excellent gameplay. That’s what makes them good. Turn on game. Start level. Start shooting.

I haven’t played Doom Eternal yet, but any slow down I experienced in Doom 2016 because of story and cutscenes were the only negatives to the game in my opinion.

If you’re a guy, you’re more than likely going to have a woman file for divorce against you. The woman files for divorce 75-80 percent of the time in America. She can have any reason she wants, and she can take half of what you have and your children. You might even be paying her alimony as she lives with another man in the future.

Divorce has become a mating strategy for women, where they can exercise hypergamy if they do not like the guy they’re with for whatever reason, leaving one for someone else she thinks is better and looting the previous guy as she moves on.

In some cases, the man is certainly a scumbag. Crowder looks selfish and disgusting in the videos I have seen.

My wife and I both do not believe in divorce. We have religious convictions. We also have a supportive, loving relationship. It is our belief that no marriage is to the point of not being salvaged, so if we ever have major conflicts (we haven’t in our five years and counting of marriage), we can not harden our hearts against one another and leave. It’s just not in our nature.

I really like Edward Hopper’s work. It takes American ideal life and gives it a hint of disturbing qualities and uneasiness. Below is People in the Sun by Hopper.

I also like Paul Klee, Magritte, Picasso, Klimt, and Dali.

@nepu7supastar7: I miss those aspects of the game as well. When I played the original back in ‘05, those set pieces really made an impression on me. I have seen a lot of people praising the exclusion of a lot of the quick time events, but I miss them and the cinematic flair they brought. I thought RE4 balanced them out very well, whereas RE6, for example, made them a complete joke of an idea. I also can see why their exclusion helps with the pacing in the remake, but I still appreciated them in the original.
