@DEVILinIRON: I didn’t know, and that’s one of my favorite Ghibli films, my sixth favorite to be exact. My wife and I ranked them all after we watched them all a few years back.

At one point, I didn’t care for graphic novels or comic books either, and now I enjoy them. I got into them like two years ago. Stuff like All-Star Superman, Return of the Dark Knight, The Watchmen, and Dr. Strange: The Oath are well written and have great art.

Maybe I’ll give manga a chance one day too. Now’s just not the time that it’s on my radar.

@nepu7supastar7: What I mean to say is that there is such a high volume of the stuff that it would take some time and dedication to really determine what is good in it. As with most mediums, I’m sure that 90-95 percent of it is middling to lousy. If you enjoy it, that’s great. I don’t judge you or anyone else for liking it. My brother in law and his wife watch anime and read manga almost daily to wind down in the evenings.

I have all of the Studio Ghibli films on Blu-ray. Otherwise, I don’t care for anime.

As for Manga, I don’t like it except for Girl from the Other Side. In the bookstores, the Manga section might as well be a line of trash on the shelves.

Went on a few dates in college. I even had a relationship with a girl in college, but I broke it off because interest seemed to be waning on her part, and I wasn’t desperate.

Afterwards, I had a few girls from the university orbiting me, but they were liberal, and it wouldn’t work out in a long term situation. Made an eHarmony account. Met my wife through it. I’ve been married for nearly six years now, have a kid, and have known my wife for about a decade total.

Worked for me.

@Maroxad: Yet he won re-election for the governorship in the third most populated state in the union by more than 1.5 million votes in a state known for being a swing state for decades.

He’s not center stage until Trump no longer holds that position for Republicans, but he is as serious and as viable a candidate for the GOP as any, which makes him an opponent to watch for the Democrats. And they are certainly doing that.

@Mozelleple112: I think you have to approach Disco Elysium differently. I complain about the movie aspect of Sony games because the gameplay IS so good in those games that the “cinematic” components take away from the engaging gameplay loop.

On the other hand, Disco Elysium gave me the same feeling as reading a good novel. That’s how I approached it. Its genre is visual novel/point and click. DE also has a great soundtrack.

I’d rather read hours of good writing than watch minutes or hours of bad Hollywood-wannabe-cutscenes. Sorry you fell asleep on the game. Even if I liked it so much, reading your experience with it was funny.

@hardwenzen: I agree. At least the puzzles were not a joke.

It was a boring walking simulator that I did not finish. None of it was spooky or scary.

At one point in the game, as you’re walking through a hallway, the hall starts to become distorted, and you hear noises from behind you. The game obviously wants you to turn around and look to see something behind you. I was so bored that I just kept walking in that slow manner that your character walks, and I entered the next room. After that, I had to stop playing. So, so boring. Boring game gets good graphics.

The 🧩s weren’t difficult at all, but in this type of game, it’s not necessary for them to be difficult. Keep the action going with minimal 🧩s that can be challenging here and there, but don’t make it like a 🧩 from The Witness all of a sudden.
