Yea, i was actually gonna respond to what he said about the screen. I agree that i will be fine with the max res on the one i chose. I think i'll be happy with that, and i will be able to get better FPS for a bit longer than i would if i was going to higher resolutions. And i can always upgrade the monitor later on when the price comes down on bigger screens too.Psycho_Jester
If you are not getting a 24" monitor or bigger, there is really no need for the 8800GTX card then. I would get the 8800GTS which is a much cheaper card and will do a great job on your 20" monitor. I would also consider the 2900Pro which is even better than the 8800GTS I believe. The GTX is kinda of a waste of money IMO if you're only running a 20" monitor.
Anyway, here is my computer's set up
Monitor: Samsung 226BW 22 in LCD$317
SAPPHIRE 100212SR Radeon HD 2900PRO $280
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600$280
Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB $115
Motherboard: Intel$222
Power Supply: Thermaltake W0116RU Complies with ATX $169

DVD RW:Sony NEC Optiarc Black AD-7170S-0B 18X SATA$33.99

I came up with these specs after long research. That's a very good set up I think. the only thing That I see is bad is the 20" monitor. Who builds a PC with an 8800GTX and puts it on a 20" monitor? You need at least a 24" monitor to take advantage of the Card's ability to handle high resolution really well. check this set up out as well arsTechnica
Since I started saving for the 360,people were annoying me with the red rings of death thing.
-My local game seller hates the 360 because it's broke and always warn me about the choice I made to get one.He got a PS3 and a Wii atr his house but not the 360.
-His college who was a 360 owner told me the same thing and tells me to get a PS3 instead(he sold his 360 and got the PS3)
So,all of you who are 360 owners,am I garanted to get the red rings of death??I want the 360 but still if Sony didn't had a high priced console.I would have probably got one.

Good Question. at a 33% failure rate you have a pretty good chance of getting one. Don't get fooled by the 360 fanboys because they will tell you about the 3 year warranty and all, but the warranty only covers the RROD problem. Unfortunately, the xbox360 has more problems than just RROD. the DVD drive is so cheap and crappy, you just never know when it will quit on you. these are the problems that the 360 owners are reporting, but to be fair though, I know a couple of people that have not had any problems. The thing that you also have to look at is that if your 360 gets the RROD, M$ will sure fix it and you might have to wait around 3-4 weeks to get it back, but a lot of people also complained about that the System they got back isn't any better and usually crapped on them again. Some people even claim that they're on their 6th xbox.
[QUOTE="blue_hazy_basic"][QUOTE="Nugtoka"][QUOTE="Trashface"]So Madden on the 360 runs at 60 frames and 30 frames on the Playstation3. Why? I thought the PS3supposedly had the more powerful hardware. Anyone know the real reason(s)?Nugtoka
Quick Answer : Sony lies.
To an extent, the PS3 is a more powerful machine than the 360, the problem is thanks to various bottlenecks in the system is accessing that extra power. On paper the PS3 crushes the 360, in practice, as the 360 is so designer friendly, it tends to outpace the PS3. Hence the reason why all EA have struggled on the PS3, the company itself seems to be having problems with the machine.
]Right! on paper! A paper Sony prepared. The only people saying that the Ps3 is more powerful is Sony and there exclusive developers. that E3 05 stats on paper are worthless. A systems peak power meaning nothing in the world of software development. its all about a systems balance. The cell processor was not designedwiththe Ps3 in mind it was just used because they had so much R&D sunk into it ,not because it was the best choice. Also Sony was more concerned with getting Blueray on the market this is clearly the reason for the extra year wait and the $600 price tag. After the blatant lies Sony spewed before the launch of the PS3, and you have to admit thereclamswherepretty ridiculous, seems like they where willing to tell there fan base anything to get a blueray player in there home. I find this shameless. The PS3 has no secret hidden power sorry your little 3 year old paper is meaningless.
Just to let you know, the Cell has been tested and proven to have 4-5 times more power than the intel core 2 quads. It's a very powerful processor and evey expert out there agrees. Stop with your M$ lies

Allright, this question is very old and has been answered. the comments make above are nothing but pathetic and full of hate not reason. The answer to this question is that the developers in EA are lazy and did not spend enough time on the PS3 version of the game. 60FPS on the PS3 is easily achievable. MotorStorm and NGS both run at 60FPS. it's not the PS3 but the lazy and unexperienced developers at EA. As a matter of fact, I am boycotting EA all together is the new FIFA 2008 does not run at 60FPS. why should I support a company that wants to create crappy ports just to make money?
