Plus sometimes students feel a bit intimidated disagreeing with a professor/teacher, even if the professor wouldn't hold it against them. Plus some teachers do abuse their power, I remember a year or two ago about some teacher who, during a class discussion on homosexuality sent a kid to the office because the kid stated that his religious beliefs are against homosexuality. Then the teacher sent another kid to the office because that kid told the teacher it was unfair of him to send the first kid to the office for disagreeing with him. I'm basing this off of memory of the story though, so some details might be a little different.[QUOTE="whipassmt"]

I'm wondering how the professor had said it. He may have said it in a way in which the students would feel stupid if they hadn't agreed with him. Some professor's are very good at trying to convince people of things they normally wouldn't agree on.

This doesn't sound true. I bet the student said something more offensive than that.
No. When I was in High School.. I was zoned for public high school that had terrible teachers and students.. Some of teachers being worse than the students.. I was a high school containing 4000 people and no respect.. I'm sure it's still like this.. So I actually believe this guy.. I've seen worse from teachers back in High School.. It really depends on where you live.I usually post in OT... but reading through some of these posts...  .. What are you guys twelve or something? Sounds like conversations from middle school.
Good luck finding one of those jobs at that age.. It's going to take a while. Is it legal for you to work an actual job? Fast food? Paper route?

[QUOTE="MakeMeaSammitch"]somebody hasn't studied psychology.... I have a degree in psychology and yeah, the argument would be pretty moronic, should you make it. If you'd study psychology, you'd know that the meaning a person finds in their life is determined by that person alone; if they decided long ago that they don't want a family, they aren't going to regret not having a family (except perhaps along the lines of "I wonder what life would have been like if. . ."). This. The meaning of life is whatever the individual thinks it is.. which varies among each person.. I don't want kids, but I wonder what it would be like to have them.. but after thinking about that for a while, I always come to the same conclusion.. Shit, still feel same way about kids lol.. don't want them.[QUOTE="worlock77"]
Sure, you could argue that. It would be a moronic argument, but you could make it.
