[QUOTE="The_Versatile"]I just have to say, this whole idea of an almighty deity judging us is lame. God couldn't be mad at anything he created. There's nothing to judge! Why doesn't anyone ever think of that?mindstorm
Haven't read the Bible very much have you?

I have.... and then logic took over my mind. Oh well, huh?

[QUOTE="bytgames"][QUOTE="Funky_Llama"]You're not quoting a very reliable website, you know. >_>Teenaged
why not? why doesnt it have just as much credit as anti-christain, websites or science only websites? please if the points that they made are wrong, proove they are wrong. these arguments bring up a good question, and point, if they are wrong proove it. dont bash the source.

Most of the times atheists and agnostics speak with arguments. I see that the lack of real arguments leads Christians to quote sites which are designed to prove itself right, and not to actually give objective answers.

Hahaahahah... silliness, I tell ya. That's like linking to an anti-drug website to prove that weed is dangerous! See! It says so right here!

[QUOTE="mindstorm"][QUOTE="The_Versatile"] Maybe, maybe not? You don't know. I don't know. Nobody knows.Teenaged
So then it is not possible to gain truth?

It is not possible to gain it 100%. But also it is quite possible thyat all the "truths" we have at hand to be only 10-20% true. You can't know for sure and you can't proclaim as if you knew for sue.

Where did you pull 10-20% from? :?

Did I say that? Nope, sure didn't. I just said we don't know. Right now, nobody knows, and all religions have failed to find it as well.

Maybe, maybe not? You don't know. I don't know. Nobody knows.

good no one knows, so will aethiest quit telling me there isnt a god, when they dont know if there is or not.

You're right, they should stop telling you that. Because there might be some sort of higher power, it's just that none of these religions have it figured out. But just because it hasn't been figured out yet doesn't mean there is none. But it also doesn't mean there is. What if God is a female? What if there are a team of creators? What if we are God? Any of these are possible, including no God existing at all. But one thing is for sure, none of the Gods of current day religions are real. So while it's ignorant to flat-out say there is no God, it's even moreso to say that there is with absolute certainty.

Also, The Adventures Of Bayou Billy, Battletoads, and for some reason Kid Icarus always gave me a hard time.

[QUOTE="The_Versatile"][QUOTE="mindstorm"] He has no beginning. Why is it that naturalists believe God has a beginning while they believe the universe (or multiverse) is infinite?mindstorm
They don't believe that. They suggest that it may be that way, coincidentally, to prove to the religous how short-sighted it is for them to believe God is infinite, while rejecting the idea that maybe the universe is what is infinite.

If neither God nor the universe is infinite then how did everything come to be. Would it not have to come from somewhere?

Maybe, maybe not? You don't know. I don't know. Nobody knows.

Discussing differences and healthy debate are great things but some people don't know how to do those things without being disrespectful or rude.gobo212
Who says people are being rude? Maybe people aren't being rude, and the sensitive people who don't want their minds changed, purposely misinterperet everything, or take things too personally on purpose just so they can cry about it, and have the mods make it all better?

[QUOTE="FamiBox"][QUOTE="gobo212"] Not really. The response to the original post was about how the poster was considering posting 2 pages flaming Christians. There is a big difference between expressing an opinion and outright attacking someone else's. No one is saying anyone should be censored but that doesn't mean people should be disrespectful.gobo212

Well all I know is I expressed my opinion and was suspended for it.

It was not my intent to offend anyone, just to express my opinion. It was also not targeted towards christianity nor an individual, but religion in general.

I am annoyed that I can't express such an opinion and I do not think it is flaming.

If everyone was moddable because they expressed an opinion that someone else didn't like, what is the point in debate?

You obviously expressed your opinion in an inflammatory way. If not than I am against your moderation.

I doubt that. GS is famous across the net for improper moderation. I've seen way too many incidents of people being censored for posts that had no ill intent, or offensive content at all. I think the mods here are just little kids in grown up bodies, exploring their hunger for power and control, and satisfying the urges they had to push others around when they were younger, but never got to, out of fear of getting beat down.
