They're two entirely different situations. It's like saying "Rich people pay more in taxes. So this Amusement park is giving discounts to the rich" Either deal with the actual issue, or dont. But dont give better treatment/wages to someone because they're gayNibroc420You're trying too hard.

Beginning in July, the city will begin paying quarterly stipends to city employees in a same-sex marriage...The Article
So beginning in July, Homosexuals who are married get quarterly bonuses, where as Heterosexuals who are married dont.
Thats discrimination :|
Heterosexual couples don't pay the tax that the stipend is designed to offset.[QUOTE="Theokhoth"][QUOTE="alexside1"]Excuse me for being ignorant, but what is a stipend?Nibroc420A fixed payment. So these people are getting paid to be homosexuals? :| How discriminatory. Read the article. :|

In a move that may be the first of its kind in the country, Cambridge will soon begin making payments to same-sex married public employees to defray the cost of what local officials have called a discriminatory federal tax.
Beginning in July, the city will begin paying quarterly stipends to city employees in a same-sex marriage who must pay federal taxes on the value of the health benefits their spouse receives from the city.
Wonderful step forward. :)

The very end does. It's just that Theohokoth the TC(spelling?) likes to bring up multiple arguments at once. Just in case we all agree on something.

This topic was supposed to be about the abortion bill.. Yet the first information I see is about the immigration law, which I believe you already made a topic about? Just in case that wasn't enough, you choose a heavily biased source. There are three topics that we can fight each other over.
You also had that coinstar topic, and then just add in kindles and nooks so that there can be two arguments.
I never made a topic on the immigration bill, the article brings up the immigration bill as a short backstory for what's been going on in Alabama, not as an argument, I never said the article wasn't biased (I don't give two s***s about its bias) and the coinstar topic is a joke.[QUOTE="-DirtySanchez-"]uh what did that text have to do with abortion?ROFLCOPTER603
