If you used marth in melee, you should be able to use him in Brawl as well. I'll recommend you visiting smash boards or smash wiki to learn more about tactics and stuff, and of course, practice a lot, specially with human players.
I play Brawl by myself pretty much all of the time, I don't really have anyone to play with. Just because a game is multi-player doesn't mean you can't play it alone. I find it more fun to play against three level 9 cpu's than it is playing against other people, it's more of a challenge because I'm better than most of the people I play against.J_Ford
I think that playing against three level CPUs teamed in level 9 is not much of a training. To win that way, you gotta use different strategies than when playing 1 vs 1. I know friends that can handle three level cpus and I can't, but still, I can beat them easily.
Yes I do. I love playing online with friends and sometimes I train with CPUs. I don't like playing 4 player brawls and my local friends aren't that good. I'm becoming a competitive brawler after all.
