@rekonym: A retelling, so you know what happens... What happens to Leia? Does Luke go bad or does Kylo redeem himself? We likely figure out Rey isn't the daughter of Luke. Who is the good guy, not the bad guy with a child if so. We all know Rey gets training under Luke, that is a given, it's also part of the story. What is one supposed to do? It's as if people want Rey and Luke to turn bad, Kylo joins the Resistance with Poe's help. Leia shoots lighting everywhere. Snoke is just a computer AI projection. Give it a break man. If you believe it's a retelling/rehash and don't want to watch it, drop it. Let people who care watch the movie without people like yourself trying to ruin other people's view of the movie. Only a small few people think that it is a rehash. Many people enjoyed it. Heck the movie made $3 billion off the movie alone.
How about this, retell ESB in your own words with Rey Finn and Poe with a splash of Luke and Leia with what you know from TFA. I bet you can't do it. To start, Luke was told on Hoth to visit Yoda. Rey is already with Luke at the start of the movie. There is clearly reasons Luke may not want to train Rey, you may see this as rehashing, but the reasons will not be the same. Look at it as if TFA came first, where was the defecting stormtrooper who left with the assistance of a rebel pilot, nothing like that happened in ANH. We actually know more about Snoke than we did Palpatine, this is if you saw the movie before the prequels. I don't think Rey is going to break her training to save her brother being abducted by Kylo. Unless we get a new death star powered by a singularity, I think it's pretty safe to say we won't see another in this trilogy.
@phili878: So what did Star Wars: The Force Awakens fall under? Definitely didn't tell the whole movie. Also made me want to go see the movie. So I guess there is a third? One that doesn't give you anything but anticipation while leaving most of what was in the trailer out of the movie. With TFA we knew Finn defected, but not how or why, we knew Rey was important but not how. We knew we would get to see Han Leia and Luke but not sure how or when. The panels and everything before TFA spoke a lot of Finn defecting and how him running into Poe then Rey changed everything, but not why or how. The trailers were misleading to me more than anything after having seen the movie, but every one made me want to watch it more.
@khanwashere: What group are you labeling me as? I bet your wrong looking at your reply. I do love the Xbox One, not as much as my PC though. I even own 2 PS4's. PC gaming allows for much more than 60 fps, and you can tell the difference. What sounds retarded is your assumptions. Sony fans bashed the Xbox One for power, then somehow contradict themselves when they are one upped by the competition in the Xbox One X. Some people can only dish it, not good on receiving it. I just find humor of everyone's panties being in a bunch when everything they were touting 3 years ago means the opposite now.
Suddenly 4k 60fps matters to Sony fanboys. Yet the game is missing great dynamic features supported by other games dropped to meet frame-rate goals. Fanboys calling their inferior product next gen 2.0. Did crack have a clearance sale or something?
