This how games never come out. When they do they're broken from the start. They should have had a smaller focus than turning it into 3 games. I may not be alive to finish part 3.
@dudebropartyyo: Curious how you target others with things like teenagers and younger with a handle like DudeBroPartyYo. Even your profile picture screams grow the heck up. Stay off my lawn, boy.
@livedreamplay: I'm playing PC games in 4k between 50-60 FPS on a 60" 4k TV with HDR using k/m and xbox one elite controller. It plays smoother than my consoles. I admittedly go back to my Xbox One for multimedia, such as TV, Blu-Ray, CBS All Access, Netflix. Consoles really make some things easier from a couch perspective playing games. Consoles will never replace PC gaming, but I believe we are now starting to reach console performance where the cost per performance on consoles are making more and more sense from a consumer standpoint. Where a lot of gamers don't want to deal with things like driver updates. I also personally love the Kinect, though I know I can also use that on my PC. I'd like to see Microsoft make consoles more like PCs going forward to blur the lines even more. I doubt we will see a Steam Launcher, but something like that would be a game changer for consoles. One thing is for sure, it looks like gaming is about to hit a nice sweet spot for everyone.
@robbiejones: As you are biased towards sony, not a bad thing, it doesn't matter who is in the lead as long as the people enjoy the console or PC of their choice.
@livedreamplay: For twice the price. There are advantages and disadvantages. I'm totally not saying the PC doesn't do it better but it comes with a cost. The benefits are definitely worth it though. The ultimate in backwards compatibility and continuing advancements in performance and quality even as games age. I feel the Scorpio may be the perfect transition for these gamers. It's essentially a great affordable gaming PC. Someone who owns a Scorpio may only need to buy a GPU in the future to upgrade their PC to outperform their Scorpio, taking with them their catalog of Xbox Play Anywhere titles. I do see a purpose for the new console even though the PC is better. Some could argue they still want a PS4 for exclusives which the PC doesn't get either. I think the Scorpio is likely the perfect bridge for console gamers to move to PC.
Edit: I currently own a PC that outperforms whatever the Scorpio will produce. It isn't stopping me from buying a Scorpio. There are some features my PC still doesn't provide without replacing the whole motherboard/CPU for Kaby Lake just to get UHD Blu-Ray playback, which would cost just as much if not more than a Scorpio.
@archav3n: For what it's worth, we know nothing other than it will be part 5 and it should release within the fiscal year. That is quite a bit to not like about something you know nothing about.
