@iaruelas: You wouldn't know if that $$$ for the ultra high settings is really worth it though do you? You assume it's not because you don't have one. For me when gaming immersion is a big part of it, PC gaming gives me that immersion. If you don't want one, don't come here telling others you don't, nobody cares.
@iaruelas: "Yet you bunch think you are gaming" What do you call it when I play games on PC then? PC gamers are happy with your decision to not get involved, which your comment says otherwise. A lot of people care for PC gaming despite your research. PC gaming is also more affordable than ever. Best to stay away from something you don't understand.
@swagtile: This is one of the reasons why the switch isn't worth $300 though. 3 quality first party games with dismal 3rd party support. I don't need a handheld, my TV still works fine, I just wanted a nice console to play Mario or Zelda in 4k. Looking like this might not happen until 2027.
@wexorian: I've never had a problem. Never heard of anyone having a problem. Just a couple random articles here and there with people complaining with an update how Steam fixed a few things to resolve the issue, not Microsoft. Steam probably already has the fixes ready waiting for the updates from Microsoft to drop. If you are playing a game you won't be installing updates, you will likely reboot your PC to find Steam updating if needed. So what you said is not how it will work out.
@Red_Frog: I bet my Windows 10 PC will run circles around your XP/Windows 7 PC. I'm not trying to jump in on some pissing contest but there is more going on here than the OS itself. Some of the newer hardware is not even supported by expired systems such as XP, in some cases even Windows 7. Windows 10 is fine and has great new features over previous systems. A bold statement about 10 being slower than XP and Windows 7 is flat out not true.
@DAOWAce: This has to be the most idiotic comment on the internet today, probably all year. A PC isn't a console, read the article, you probably incapable though which is why you jumped to the comments. You clearly don't understand what any of the terms you used in your comment even means. I wonder how long it will take for you to get your head out of your butt to figure this out. Just wait till you try and upgrade your PC and find out the newer parts don't support the OS you are running, are you going to pay thousands of dollars on ddr2 or ddr3 RAM? Plan on using that new i7 processor? How many threads can your current OS utilize. How well does your OS support SSD's and M.2 drives? Keep hanging onto yesterday. The rest of us will move on to better things. Can your PC play Forza Horizon 3, the answer is no. You are the one with the problem, you had your chance for the free upgrade. Your loss.
@PETERAKO: You can make an image backup of your system before installing Windows 10. You can always revert back to the image. I get the feeling though that you are not tech savvy, good luck.
