One can only imagine the they just can't compete against the XOX so they are waiting until they have something to show. I mean we should have gotten at least one more FFVII remake tease... Sheesh.
@magnifihundred: That's the dumbest comment all day, thanks for the laugh. Do Sony fanboys think that Sony is so awesome that everyone only came to E3 just for what Sony had to show? Get your head out of your rectum.
@Runeweaver: "Too late in this gen to improve." Article is about the Xbox, your comment clearly dogs Xbox's ability for success. As I stated it's never too late because of the continuing backwards support. I said your viewpoint was narrow, I guess I hit a sensitive spot basically stating that these efforts will improve things regardless of your comment. Whatever the next Xbox console as you call it Nextbox, is going to continue to push enhancements for the Xbox One X, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Xbox. This is a long term strategy agreed. There is no mention of end of support for the XOS and the XOX that we know of. To flat out say that the Xbox One won't capitalize on this is a narrow viewpoint, which may turn out, but to flatly state it as if it's fact is just way too early to tell. You can dance around the topic of fanboy glasses. I only pointed out both systems to point out that Microsoft's history doesn't support your post. With the way Microsoft is enhancing games. Even games made now will likely get enhanced on the next generation. If Microsoft isn't abandoning the original Xbox, I highly doubt they will be abandoning the Xbox One. No fanboy here, I know you wanted to spin my post of "It would be nice if everyone just enjoyed video games again, regardless of what platform they are on.", as fanboy glasses. I'm sorry I find gaming fun regardless of platform currently own a PS4, PS3, XOX, and a decent gaming PC. Owned gaming systems going back to Atari and Colecovision, still have many of my original Atari cartridges. Owned a Neo-Geo, TurboGraphics 16, Sega Master system, Genesis, Dreamcast, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Gamecube. The list goes on. I see your response, but you have no idea when we will see any games come from this like myself. With things like Game Pass it really opens things up for people, I personally don't subscribe to it, but Microsoft's approach looks to do what we all really want, bring more games to gamers. Your original post appears as your absolute answer, as if there is no grey area for you to be wrong. This is what I don't agree with. Realistically we both don't really know, that's all I'm saying.
@lion2447: I'm done paying for nostalgia, it's like going through things I haven't thrown out for many years and realizing I'm really done with it. We always go in trying to recapture what something did for us long ago, it's time to find something different to play with. I agree with the FFXV glimpse, some projects get too big. Here's another way to look at it though, as much as I likely won't pay into this because of all the hype 5 plus years ago. But for those still waiting, it's possible they find a way to not let FFXV fiasco happen again, I try to stay optimistic. Sometimes it's hard to maintain with very little transparency on things. We basically still know nothing about the remake, with no idea when and if it will ever release.
@Runeweaver: That's a pretty narrow view of things but everyone is entitled to their opinion. Some view this time as a boon for Xbox One as RDR2 is almost night and day better on the XOX than the 4PRO. Not everyone jumps on every first party title just because. Games going forward appear to scale to newer hardware more than ever. The way the Xbox One X enhances gameplay is likely to continue going forward. It's never too late. Microsoft has too much cash, way more than Sony to just drop out like it seems some wish would happen. Competition in a market is going to help things grow. It would be nice if everyone just enjoyed video games again, regardless of which platform they are on.
@foxhound_fox: There's no way you possibly know the future of this acquisition to be able to truly express Microsoft on their platform. We've already seen trolls posting their bias but could you please take this kind of rhetoric somewhere else?
@bluntzkreig: Depends on the person really. I have two PS4's collecting dust at the moment. While I already have an Xbox One X. My daughter who doesn't play her PS4 either might switch it up. It's click bait if you don't find this a deal. Heck I may do it for a second 4k blu-ray player that would get use.
