@philMcCrevis Imagine the production values on next gen when they get all of the money from steambox. Patience is a virtue.
You would rather they rush it? I guarantee that if they don't consider the open world online revolution that seems to be happening in games that they will come up much shorter. Not to say HL3 should be open world or online, but they will be striving for superiority here. Cant do that blindly, not these days.
Things have changed a bit since Valve started up. They have to consider that before tiring them selves out dancing continually.
@TheLightElf Actually, it's genius. Its clear (or if your a pessimist, heavily implied) that Portal is set in the same universe. Aperture is in competition with Black Mesa, the portal technology bears similarities to what brought the first of the aliens to earth etc.
Holy crap, you might have just guessed it! Maybe inadvertently, but none the less.
@Gamerhomer It would go against the mission statement. Steambox would be modular with on open linux OS. It could be a PC/Steambox exclusive, but I doubt it since orange box did pretty well on consoles.
Thankfully, we are not dealing with the kind of company we are used to in this instance.
