@juboner SONy has confimed always Online is not happening, and used games will not have fees by them, though it is left open to the publisher to do that.
But thanks for proving what I was thinking all along -- Xbox ONE isn't made for gamers. It's made for douches like you who play the latest shooter, drink Mountain dew like pigs and take joy in shitting on others' hobbies.
.... Blu Ray games are larger by default as a result of the slow reading speed. Now, if the game FULLY installs on the HDD, then that mean about 15GB, which is the average for games on current gen PS3.
Doing quick math, it's safe to say that after between 20 to 30 games, you'll run out of space.
... And that is not so good.
Re-installing these games sure is gonna be a hassle... Is adding external HDDs also costly of a fee?
LOL YOu know you did something wrong when you revealed your latest and greatest and yet the competitors just sit idly by and laugh as their money rises.
@stevenrkorea It's not that simple. They would be crippling the whole used games industry, even if the game sold at 40$, with a 20$ fee you may aswell buy a new game.
If it's 30$, then it's a 10$. Probably still preferable to buy a new version. Below that it would start to be more viable, but gamestop will lose it's cuts and the used games industry will suffer for it.
From what the reports have made, the cost of the fee will be that of the full retail price. Buying new might be the only viable option.
And I'm saying as a PC owner, my only comfort being that as a PC gamer I have complete freedom and control over my software. That is something console players will not have. Disks are the last way to keep are content ours, the next step is the cloud, and when that happens, we lose control.
@TerraMantis Yeah, in any case this reveal was a massive failure.
If they are going to somehow decrease the fee restrictions or cancel it entirely, i'd simply consider that damage control. The whole representation made Microsoft's stand clear on what it wants out of nextgen-- sponsorships and money.
