Yes, PC has had more pirates over the years. It's more accessible, it's a more capable machine, and it stands the test of time. Being the free system it is, it allows for piracy to be much more convenient.
But it has nothing to do with the actual sales. I do recommend you look at some latest PC figures. on Average, Steam has about 4-6 million users actively playing each day. That's a huge number, even consoles don't match it.
GTA4 sold bad because, for starters, it's mainly a console game (though it started it's way on PC, ironic huh?), and Rockstar handled the GTAIV port terribly.
Crashes, graphical issues, bugs, GFWL, for a long time, the game was unplayable.
Even after all the patches, it still lags like ass for alot of PCs.
How is this the gamer's fault?
Do console games sell more than PC ones? yes.
Does it somehow make the PC unprofitable? NO.
Your basing all of your information on nothing but stigmas.
Also Witcher 3 sold more on PC than on Xbox.
Dark Souls, despite being a bad port, was embraced by the community and sold well over 300k, way more than they expected.
So keep your snobby remarks to yourself, and next time, do remember that we shelled out 500-1000$ on our rigs, while you barely spent 300$ on yours, so who's the real cheapskate?
