Well just look at your sig... your most anticipated games arent even close to an FPS style.housy2008

That's because I consider the golden age of FPS gaming to be the Build engine games. Plus I have played and completed System Shock 2. Everything since that has been a bit of a disappointment. It's like playing Baldurs Gate 2 and getting your hopes up that an RPG will ever match it. It won't so why bother.

I would post a link to System Shock 2 gameplay, but you need to play it really so I'm just going to link you to the music.

System Shock 2. Best FPS ever made.

I have an Xbox360.

I would happily end this thread right now if one person admitted that the Wii is not the only console with shovelware.

well duh..... the wii is not the only console with shovelware. Everyones point is that for every hour of victory there are like 15 ninjabreadmans and bratz the videogame titles

For Ninjabread Man and Bratz there is a Burger King shovelware game. For every pale imitation of Nintendo's new market games there is a pale imitation of a shooter. And lets not even begin with the lame movie tie-ins...

Saw some pics of the game from GI, looks awesome but the Batman franchise hasnt been a steady one when its formatted into a videogame.

Hopefully we can see some gameplay footage within the upcoming months to see if its worth the wait.

Ballroompirate

The first game I played was a Batman game on the Spectrum called Batman The Movie.

If the Master Chief didn't die in Halo 3, he sure is dead now.

Now that I have said that he's an Action Figure the popularity of Halo is dead for sure. *snarl*

Bungie wouldn't DARE make another Halo after a remark as powerful as that surfaces on an internet forum. *snarl*

I don't think we're on the same wavelength here...

I'm just kidding.

[QUOTE="Tony-Harrison"]With the exception of Fable 2, how many of those are multiplatform?

In regards to the above two posters, The Nintendo Wii has some excellent exclusives, and yes, the Xbox360 has a lot of shovelware and mediocre shooters.

foxhound_fox

Dead Rising is currently only available on the 360 with a ****tier dumbed-down version coming to Wii and rumours of a PS3 port in the works. Mass Effect is only available 360 on PC, which isn't a console. Devil May Cry 4 is good on any console but only sweetens the deal with the 360. N+ is currently only available on XBLA. Ikaruga for $10 is only available on XBLA. Braid is currently only available on XBLA. Rock Band 2 is coming out for 360 first, a month before the PS3 version. Plus all the back-catalogue games like Kameo and Crackdown that I still haven't played yet.

Oh yes... and I forgot about Forza Motorsport 2, the best quality racing sim currently available on consoles... and only for 360.

Dead Rising, Mass Effect and Forza 2 sealed the deal for me in my purchase of a 360. The massive library of games on XBLA and other titles like DMC4 are only making it even sweeter.

PC doesn't count? Ikaruga only available on Xbox Live (Dreacast? Gamecube?)
Dead Rising crystal ball? Plus a genuine fanboy admittion by playing the timed exclusive card?????

Well done Foxhound Fox. I always knew you where a fanboy.

I'll give you Forza, but Mass Effect is better on the PC, and Dead Rising on the Wii isn't out yet so don't pretend you have a crystal ball.

When I was playing Dead Rising, Mass Effect, Devil May Cry 4, Ikaruga, N+ and soon to be Braid, Rock Band 2 and Fable 2 on my 360 I didn't know I was suffering from an overload of shooters. :?

If you don't want to play bad games, then don't buy them. It's not like you are forced to buy tripe you don't want.foxhound_fox

Er, no. It's being made by Nintendo Entertainment Analysis and Development. Not some third party cash in developer.

Same team who are making Wii Sports Resort.

insanejedi

Just because it is being done by Nintendo it shouldn't have to get a free pass from the labeled shovelware prospect. From what we've seen of it like Shadow_of_Kirby is saying we don't even play the dam game... wth does that make it in the first place, I do not know...

I have an electronic drum kit that cost me a hell of a lot more than $50.

This isn't what I call shovelware

It's what i call the depth of a fisher price music toy.

This isin't a place for sheep to go spin out whatever agenda or properganda you have. This threads purpose was to establish the diffrence between shovelware and a bad game, thats it!

Fanboys resorting back to calling Nintendo products Fisher Price Toys - Priceless. :P

It's too bad the Master Chief is an Action Figure.
