I'm frankly tired of shooters that do not offer something interesting. As in Stalker: Clear Skies, Bioshock, or Metroid Prime 3: Corruption.

Killzone 2 looks visually impressive, but so did Quake 2. What does Killzone 2 offer that is different?

EDIT: I can think of another game that is offering stylé over substance. It is called The Conduit. Well, at least it refines FPS controls on the Wii. What does Killzone 2 offer that is anything substantial?

Bu, bu, everyone apart from consolites are suppose to love that game :( I do

Those where meant as examples of games which are different and interesting. :P

Haven't you played the other two? Bioshock and Metroid Prime 3 are both totally unique.

Buy one now with Super Mario Galaxy and Zack & Wiki. I would recommend those two games to any gamer who considers him or herself to be hardcore.:o

[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]You've already compared it to Halo, which has never helped any game. Ever.PC360Wii

That's because they where all shooters. What Halo did is take the FPS genre and simplify it so that the casual gamer could appreciate it. No FPS game could ever re-create that phenominon. However, a game with the aesphetics of a Movie could quite possibly.

Still, doesn't matter whether it's "that" game or not. Secret or otherwise, I still think movie aesphetic Adventures are the next big thing in gaming.

So every Half-Life play is gaurenteed hardcore then?

You need to learn your videogame history. Half Life did not make the FPS genre any more or less casual.

What half life did is revolutionize the genre by doing away with FPS mechanics of old and replacing them with the type of shooter that we have today. Almost every first person shooter that is released now has something to thank Half Life for.

Even if the secret game isn't Heavy Rain, it will still be incredible. I actually think that Heavy Rain will be a major game for the PS3 that will take Cinematics in game to a new level. It will resemble a movie, and that's the hook that will catch the casual gamer.

Yea, that protects them all the time....

Let me guess, hockey isn't a man's sport either?

Quit being so ignorant.

Chutebox

I never said that. I actually hated playing Hockey at school though. It did my back in to no end.

\That shouldn't bother them. They're wearing enough layers. :P

AlphaGamer469

I hate to disillusion you but runningbacks and wide receivers wear the least amount of padding and would still own a complete rugby squad...

I think your the one in need of disillusionment mate.

[QUOTE="jg4xchamp"]Have you actually played either sport?Chutebox

I'm well built.

Thanks for letting us know

I don't know why you removed half of the quote but where I come from, being well built just means that your a hardy type person. What do you take it as meaning?

Rugby is infinitely more hardcore than Yankie Football. You have no Scrum. Instant failure right there.

Nope, just 300lb+ men going at it all day long. No holding hands.

That shouldn't bother them. They're wearing enough layers. :P
