Here's the difference.

Guitar Hero = No Creativity. Keep pressing the buttons and the music track keeps playing.
Wii Music = 100% Creativity. Wii Music Wins.

Arkthemaniac

That is true. The thing is that Wii Music takes almost no skill while Guitar Hero takes quite a bit. I wonder what you could do to get something musical that takes creativity and skill at the same time...

I want the dream herb! Where would you be able to buy these?:P-Sniper99-

I'm very interested in it too. I've ordered a load from www.everyonedoesit.co.uk which is a UK head shop website. Apparently it tastes foul if you drink it though which is how I found out about the Miracle Berry. :P

It would probably make sense to read from the Experiences Vault from Erowid too.

Wii Music is a layered track just like RB/GHFragTycoon

This is my point, It's not a layered track. In fact it uses Motion Sensing Plus in order to hit the correct notes.

Mushrooms are hallucinogenic. The two I listed are interesting because of their specific purpose.

I like this bit on the Wikipedia page.

When the fleshy part of the fruit is eaten, this molecule binds to the tongue's taste buds, causing bitter and sour foods to taste sweet. It is not a sweetener, as its effect depends on what is eaten afterwards. This effect lasts between thirty minutes and two hours.Wiki

This section was quoted from a blog.

... after eating [miracle fruit] stout beers taste like chocolate milkshakes, grapefruits taste like pixie sticks, cheeses taste like frosting, it will make even the crappiest tequila taste like lemonade (and strangely enough, it will make all wine taste like Manischewitz).Wiki

  1. Synsepalum Dulcificum (Miracle Berry) - Evergreen berries that flavour food by making bitter and sour tasting food taste sweet, but as an hallucinogenic effect after consuming the berries, they are not sweet themselves. Wikipedia
  2. Calea Zacatachichi (Dream Herb) - A leaf which when smoked or made into a tea, makes dreams lucid. Lucid Dreaming is when you are conscious of a dream and continuity and free will. Wikipedia

Cool huh? :P

"Don't criticize what you can't understand" That's what Bob Dylan says. Most people in the world criticize what they don't understand, and it makes the world a rude place.

The comparison/contrasting is: Video game, game console, game with music. That's enough to compare it with Guitar Hero. GH is great. It's fun. Wii Music will be great and fun too!

xNJN

I disagree with them being compared AT ALL. They're totally different.

Guitar Hero: Press Buttons in order to play a layered audio track. Impossible to generate tone.
Wii Music: Generates tones.

All the hate is coming from the over done angry shooter games. These other fanboys will never understand how fun the Wii is until they actually try it. The Wii in some odd sense encourages me not to play so much video games; not to make it habitual. The Xbox and PS leave your face stuck on the TV at the end of the night.

Wii music will be great!

xNJN

Yeah, I think your right. I'll probably get it. I own an Electronic Drum Kit but it's so much hassle and the plastic frame is broken. :(

I can't believe though that they're comparing it to Guitar Hero!! Why?! Those aren't even music games, they're rhythm games.
