@TigusVidiks @sephsplace @rann89 The only games you wouldn't run with stability are games developed with high end gaming rigs in mind. For example, you wouldn't run Crysis on maximum setting, but run it at a level similar to it's console counterpart. Consoles have the advantage of being fast and easy, and a bit cheaper (not by much if you know what you're doing), not to mention they have some awesome exclusives and splitscreen multiplayer. PCs have mods, the option for dedicated servers, a wider variety of games and offer a smoother gaming experience with the exception of lousy third-party ports. That said, you need to know (or a friend that knows) a thing or two about PC parts to get away with a cheap gaming rig. PCs are more complicated, consoles are easier. But who cares, I buy them all in good time because I'm a gamer.
@rann89 Online gaming's better on the PC anyway. I might still grab the PS4 if it has something like Xbox Live to play the exclusives, but the online service is one thing I won't subscribe to.
@queuing_for_PS4 @TigusVidiks It's been a rumor going around for a while now, not to mention Sony has filed a patent on a technology that would do just that - block used game. It's a dumb and unlikely move, but various sources indicate that it's a possibility. For someone queuing for the PS4 you really don't know shit from shit.
@dangermouse2k To be fair it's not ALL bad. I guess some guy can see his friend play to get a feel for the game if he's uncertain about buying...because for whatever reason he's never heard of the internet.
@DarkNeoBahamut They've always looked better! But yeah, it's kind of frustrating that so few developers actually make an effort. And I'm looking at the ones that use powerful engines and only use half of it. coughDeadSpace3cough. Finally they're gonna get their thumbs out of their butts.
@juliano001 Disagree on the graphics, it has some pretty decent VFX and looks pretty solid for an MMO (just for an MMO though). But otherwise, yes, that game looks like it's gonna flop like any other Cryptic MMORPG. First because it takes the D&D universe and turns it into a mindless hack n' slash, generic MMO, 2nd because Cryptic makes subpar MMORPGS, and that's coming from a guy that thinks most MMOs are bad.
@UnclePuddle Oh yes, I'm still waiting for that. Or a Pathfinder game (why has this not happened yet ?). The NwN (and 2) MP has kept me hooked on the game for nearly a decade, even if the game itself (the 2nd one) is kinda crappy in it's game mechanics. Seriously, I really wonder what Hasbro are thinking. It's like mediocrity is their new standard.
